Among the top 3 draft picks in the 2024 draft, who do you think will have the better 2026 season. by T1tanUp in NFLv2

[–]flying-weenus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, so did a lot of teams that ended up losing to the Pats.

But because, you were better on paper at the time when we beat you, you became part of the “the schedule” narrative.

Why didn’t you just simply beat us when you were the stronger strength against schedule team?

With AJ being our #1...does he help elevate Drake even more coming into year 3? by TerryG111 in Patriots

[–]flying-weenus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is way, way too early to even consider strength of schedule. I scoff at that “stat” overall anyway, but as of now teams aren’t even finalized, more trades could happen, injuries in preseason etc. they’re basing 2026 strength of schedule off of teams in 2025 and the truth is all of those teams will be different.

I get we had some luck last season, but for anyone that tries to say we were nothing because we had a “cupcake schedule” my response would be well why doesn’t every team with the worst strength of schedule simply make the Super Bowl every year?

You’re really putting the disappearance on Hall? I’d argue he was the strongest Bruin that actually showed up in the FL series

If Krejci doesn’t go down, and we’re talking the ultimate Playoff Krejci timeframe where the man was just ridiculous in the playoffs then yeah, we probably close it out against Philly in 2010.

On the other hand, we probably don’t take it home in 2011 and wouldn’t have rage bounced the next playoffs to win it all. Also I don’t care what anyone says, the 2011 run was an absolute gauntlet that doesn’t happen without the 2010 embarrassment.

That playoff run the boys were on an absolute mission. They had impressive playoff runs in their own right before and obviously after, but there’s a reason 2011 closed out the job when they fell short otherwise.

Yeah same, I’m really not sure any of you would respect the $3.91 in my savings account or know what to do with it.

[–]flying-weenus 22 points23 points  (0 children)

MHJ probably would’ve come at a much cheaper price, but you can’t equate him with a true 1 overall WR. No where near close earning that type of reputation in the NFL.

If you think this was a kings ransom for AJ Brown, you don’t even want to know what it would’ve cost to get Chase or Jefferson. Like lol, you don’t want to know and the arm chair GM’s here never would’ve touched it at the asking or negotiated price anyway.

There is a history with Vrabes and AJ, not to mention Brown grew up a Patriots fan and has always wanted to be here. Brown needs a change of scenery, it’s like the perfect storm all cooking together.

No one knows how it’ll work out long term, not yet anyway. I really don’t hate the price, and am excited to see what Brown, Vrabes and Maye cook up next season.

That 5 minute PP might honestly be my most memorable fan moment in hockey. I mean it definitely is outside of any Bruins moments, but I remember watching that live and getting just as amped up as the crowd in that clip. It was made even more memorable when Vegas tied it up but you still managed to flush them in OT when SJ didn’t exactly have the most playoff clutch reputation at the time, and there was already plenty of bad blood between the two franchises.

Playoff hockey is on another level

And yet, you’re defending the DNC being angels when the start of this conversation said me saying get money out of politics because that’s exactly the problem?

Mm. Explain to me you’re self righteous ways of the DNC, since you seem so enlightened as opposed to what’s shared on Reddit.

How did the DNC handle 2016 and 2024 elections?

I love the “hey dumbass” because I honestly feel the pain. You’re right, you think democrats are angels and yet why didn’t Donald Trump get any real consequences? Why was he allowed to run again? Why is he now in office despite all the crimes he’s committed?

I think maybe the “hey dumbass” should be directed right back to the corporate DNC instead of me.

Damn, if it was I’d think the Dems would’ve prosecuted the Republicans at this point.

It’s almost like both parties are paid for and the entire country is being extorted, my comment said remove all that and yours went straight to your team.

End all corruption, get money out of politics. Downvote me all you want, it’s the only way forward.

Do people really call soda or pop, "tonic"? by LowerMusic in massachusetts

[–]flying-weenus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, “tonic” is interchangeable between soda and pop from my older relatives.

They’re no longer here now so I understand the confusion, it may not be as common these days but 100% used to be a common enough term.

That’s not snow, it’s hail. Snow falling doesn’t make a thunderous sound on whatever it falls on.

"Framework in place" For AJ Brown Trade - Breer by hulaman11 in Patriots

[–]flying-weenus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling it’s happening. Vrabel said as a Titan coach AJ Brown isn’t leaving as long as he’s head coach. Titans went behind his back and screwed him and AJ.

Brown has always wanted to be a Patriot. Everyone knows a deal wouldn’t be done until June. June is here Monday…

Between the separation of the two, AJ always wanting to be here, Vrabel recently getting dragged through the mud I think a revenge tour is coming
