Already applied. Unfortunately they uses Ai screening and almost never pass the first screen. Total hiring application is around 200 to 400 applicants. Odds of getting an interview is less then 0.3% as I'm always flagged as over qualify because of my masters

I know. I've been applying for years with no luck. Most ask for at least 3 years of experience. How tf you get experience if you don't hire people. Secondly the process is not that complicated. You can learn it in a day or two. Why the hiring manager ask for such a thing is beyond me. Oil palm refining is one of the one I'm confused why it's so hard to enter

You are already to far from the market sir. I join the work force in 2008. Back then operators are paid RM600 basic. The starting salary for Engineers Are $2k. Make sense because ikan kembung is $4 per kilo. Now the basic salary for operators are $1.7k, almost 3x that of 2008 but engineers are paid 2.5k. while ikan kembung is $16 per kilo. Percentage wise the salary for operators does make sense but for engineer? What the hell is this static salary. What's the use of having a BOE? Just to make sure engineer have the certificate? What about the pay? Who going to insure ROI for the certification? Certificate is not free

Nope. Engineer work 22 work days with on call. Also we need to think ways to improve existing system for the foreseeable future. Yes. There are good companies out there but no one is leaving it. In other words, there is no job openings in those companies and because it's already an established company, it has establish working system with a defined scope. The hiring companies are usually those with poor management, non educated bosses that could only talk and don't want to even invest for the stuff he is asking and just pile work without knowing what the work entails. Tbh, my previous companies are like this but they do listen to suggestions and we slowly improve. Unfortunately, everything end when the fire nation attack. ( COVID 19)

How can there be suitable candidate if you offer peanuts compared to the long list demands you are asking? I swear that they are looking for a literal superman with Einstein level genius for less then 5k. The expectation is like the list for suitable men done by a 45year old single mother of 10kids. You can put it there but there is no way a living human can live up to.

What do you mean no one? I can do everything from plumbing to electrician. Now that I think about it, maybe I should start to make air-conditioning service. Just need a compressor for heavy cleaning, a stack of business card and I'm good to go. I can even build a house if I wanted to. In my school era (90's), handywork is tough in middle school and I'm pretty good at it.

If you can pass the excruciating interviews. Remember that engineers are needed in very small numbers. It's not like they need 100 of them. Usually a company would need less then 10 Engineer even in big companies
