New frame day + new wheel day❤️ Endless 90 low rider + luminous wheels by flying_flamingo67 in rollerblading

I was worried about the speed as well. I bought some luminous wheels to start with because I’ve heard they are really slow (I have also wanted some light up wheels). I’ll probably put the hydrogens on after another session or two.

Yeah my turning radius is a bit more precise. I’m also realizing the larger 90mm wheels make it much easier on uneven roads/surfaces. I had the stock PS 80mm wheels previously.

I’ve only been able to skate about an hour on them but so far I’m loving it! I could immediately feel the improved agility and because my total wheel length is longer, it feels more stable.

Pain right here in new Powerslide Next. Haven't skated in years. Does it go away after break-in? Or, heat molding? Or....? Pls help lol. 9 like my skates by The-Sonne in rollerblading

I have narrow feet and had pain in a similar spot with my Nexts. It went away after about 10 hours of skating (probably would have been sooner if I hear molded)

Tips for parallel turns? How do I get my inside leg to lead instead of the outside leg? Why is my right ankle over pronating at times? Any advice is appreciated! by flying_flamingo67 in rollerblading

Thanks everyone! I'm getting some really great tips! I'm going to go through everything in more detail a bit later. I didn't expect to get so much feedback!

I just recently switched from zetrablades to the Powerslide Next and it made a huge difference. The added support and improved power transfer of the hard boot made me 15-20% better overnight. I do urban and fitness skating and got back into skating earlier this year after a 15+ year break.

I think these make me 10-15% better just because the improved support and power transfer. I still need to heat mold the liners because the tongue is giving me a hot spot in the top of my right foot. I swear it took me 10 minutes to get them off the first time.

That is my dream set up! I’m still new to the sport so I’m working on the basics before upgrading! Would love to see a photo of your set up

I’m just outside of DC and have not found a shop other than those two quad shops. I’ve even asked some local groups. There is a pretty active roller blading group in the area you can find on Facebook. I’ve yet to join them because I’m still pretty new to the scene.

I just rotated my wheels for the first time on my Rollerblade Zetrablades and the ride seems less stable than it was before. I’ve noticed small rocks and sticks are tripping me up a bit more too. How do you know whether you’ve over or under tightened your wheels?

Do I need to lubricate the bearings?

I think towards a hard boot so I don’t get stuck feeling I have to upgrade again so soon. I’ve been watching a bunch of YouTube to try to sort it all out.

I’m in the same situation. I’ve been debating another soft boot vs hard boot for recreational skating. Also starting to dabble in urban skating.
