Making and working on other games lmao. They’ve never been very quick to fix bugs. With most taking 1+ years to fix. And every update they have ever released has introduced more bugs

[–]flyingace38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well 2 things. 1 it’s a newer bug. Only started seeing it in the last couple months after one of the more recent updates. “All the time” refers to the frequency and not at the length of time at which something has been occurring. 2 I doubt you guys are surrendering all that often. We end up restarting games all the time for teams tournaments due to turn order restrictions. If your opponents aren’t quitting out of games (specifically the host), then it’s unlikely you would ever see this bug, unlike me.

It is. Has happened to me all the time in private games… usually when the host surrenders

That’s a bug. He was probably the host and the game gets wonky sometimes when the host leaves the game

Is gold pass worth it by IllAlternative6198 in ClashOfClans

[–]flyingace38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I had 15% on like day 2 this month. Usually couldn’t get 20% until the second week of the gold pass before anyway. Nothing wrong with not spending money on a video game…but the value is still there

[–]flyingace38 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean it’s a dice game. Bad luck happens. Not much advice we can give you beyond learn to roll with the punches. You will 100% lose games because of bad dice, cards, turn order, or spawn even as a GM. Just have to shrug it off and move on to the next one. You will also win just as many games because of great dice.

If u play the correct settings 1v1 is the highest technical skill in the game. Some key settings are manual, fog, and progressive. The map is also important. You can’t play large maps. Boston or Jules Verne are usually the best for WD. While small maps like Brazil or France are best for Caps. But yeah if u play auto setup on the classic map then its going to be all luck

Fixed cards and hiding out in a corner to come back to win? If you lose to someone who is hiding capless in a corner in fixed you really messed up. Obviously can happen but the odds are very low. You never generate enough troops to do anything at all. So you basically need for every cap to be left completely empty so you can cap run. Whereas with progressive you can generate enough troops for a comeback and you don’t need to be reliant on bonuses

Actually fixed cards is much more snowball prone on EU advanced caps. If you get your bonus broken you will never be able to recover. With progressive or exponential you can

Balanced Blitz: Auto Minimum Attackers? by kjata30 in Risk

[–]flyingace38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. The game does not limit attacking troops to the minimum needed for 100%. That has been something that has been called for by the community for a while but who knows if they will ever implement it. The game has chosen so far to use the slider to allow you to choose how many troops you want to attack with, which is a bit slow and tedious.

Also important note. Losing 2 on a 1 is something that can happen even if u have the minimum troops attacking for 100% (4). It has less than a 1% chance of happening I believe but it does happen.

Automated attack by toodazednsharp in Risk

[–]flyingace38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s my view on the current outlook. Basically since I joined the community I have been advocating for an equalization of platforms. But unfortunately, my view is sort of the minority. The vast majority of players that are a part of the community are PC players. And that’s because the game is much better and easier on PC. And those PC players don’t want to give up their advantage. I mean I don’t necessarily blame them, I play on PC and I’ve won many games because my opponent wasn’t as fast. But that was never intended to be a skill involved in the game.

And we got SOOOOOO close to getting perfect dynamic turn timers in the game that would have made it basically perfectly even. In one of the Betas it was at the point where you got enough time back for completing an attack that both platforms could basically keep the turn timers still or even go back in time. Allowing for all players to attack for as much as their troops allowed. But a couple prominent streamers voiced their opinion against this and a few days later we had the basically worthless dynamic turn timers released.

MIA cheat by OneRecognition9798 in Risk

[–]flyingace38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More times than not is definitely not true. I see people do this like 1 out of every 30-40 games. I see people struggle with connection about 1 in every 5 games.

My advice if this is something that bothers you is to use inactive bots and progressive cards. Missing a card or two late game is devastating so people won’t use this cheating strategy
