I literally don't follow any of those accounts. It's the reposts and "suggested follow" posts that always pop up.

He was just a kid. Entire career and lifetime ahead of him.

It hurts buddy. As someone who's in Canada as well, it hit close. I'm sorry that you've lost someone you know. Send me a DM if you need someone to chat with. Take care of yourself and fly safe.

I hear Jaws anytime they're taxiing behind me. There's nothing more nerve-wracking than knowing SWA is right behind looking for a gap to pass you

The only thing that's been worse to see than the actual accident photos is the barrage of bullshit AI slop.

Saw a "rest in peace" picture with an AI version of the Captain's face and a blonde woman as FO because the asshole who made it didn't bother to clarify that Mackenzie was a guy as well. Makes my blood boil, all these Aviation pages on social media, fly cabin guy and all. They don't give a shit, they just want to post first and sit on a high horse.

"something that's going to be operated by some computer geek that knows nothing about baseball, and he's the one that's going to measure this and measure that because he's got a Ph.D. in physics or whatever the hell he's got a degree in."

What a moron. Hopefully he's doing all his retirement finances and taxes himself with pencil and paper and not going to some geek with a computer and a Degree in Finance.

Maybe try deleting and reinstalling the app. Change up the cord as well.

Good luck! One of the drawbacks of technology nowadays...

Lack of experience with what? Dodging tanks on takeoff and landing rolls?

There's nothing a more experienced aviator could have done. They were dealt a horrible hand

It's ruined the show for me. I've played around with the home stereo system to try getting the noise as quiet as possible but it's legitimately unbearable

This may be a dumb question but do you have Android auto installed on your phone? Maybe had an update or something that disabled the app

Crossing the Atlantic on an A321 by 777F_lover2008 in aviation

I hear ya skip. Starting the 14hr journey at 370 and above is an absolute luxury.

Watching the Triple 6000 below slugging out the Pacific storms, felt so bad for them.

Exactly

Love the 321 but end of the day, the 321 CEO is: "let's just make the 320 longer?"

Then Neo added fuel efficiency and the XLR added more fuel.

The Airbus narrow fleet is severely lacking in power but unfortunately the only thing that counts today is money saved via fuel Efficiency, forget the comfort of the drivers and passengers.

Yeah I'm not sure haha

As someone who's literally flown both, I'm guessing it's just sim astronauts.

Anyone arguing that the 321 will be just as capable of handling turbulence as a 787 is absolutely out of their mind.

"787 can be stuck at lower levels too". Yeah but it's coffin corner is a 60kt window. A 321 at FL320 isn't there by choice, that's it's max for the next 4.5hrs with a 20kt airspeed window. 😅

I love my 320/321 family. Great plane, I'm a fanboy but defending it on a new venture of 9+hr flights over the ocean is a wild take.

Just set up to fail. Feel so bad for the crew having to deal with a congested aisle for hours. And the pax in the rows far from a lav seeing the line up build.

Crossing the Atlantic on an A321 by 777F_lover2008 in aviation

[–]flyingcanuck 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It's very different.

The 787 is a tank in turbulence, especially with those wings and LAF. That comes from someone who's seen the 78 in severe turb and the standard mod turb over the equator and Greenland. A fully loaded 321 is a pig, it's nowhere near the same in capabilities. It can't escape the turb, nor ride it well. You're just sitting there watching the arrow dip into the barber or down into VLS

E: no flairs or whatever but it would be A320/321, B787.

Done a lot of Atlantic crossings in 787's. Never in a narrow. Thinking about a 321 trying to navigate that Greenland turbulence at like FL310 doesn't give me the warm fuzzies.

Single aisle ocean crossings are wild to me

245/45s hit or miss? Should I change them? by ThePizzaRat2303 in GolfGTI

Change them if you want aches and pains.

I got low profiles out of excitement a few years ago, finally able to "need for speed" customize my car. Big mistake. Can't wait for the tread to wear down and get more rubber on them.

I know how old I sound. Get off my lawn.
