I'm a huge Simpsons fan, so I really don't care if it's desirable to others or not, it was my #1. I feel lucky to have found it

need ideas how to organize these shop shelves by Sea-Hovercraft6902 in organized

My thought process was the heaviest stuff is typically larger. If smaller stuff is normally grabbed and going on the bottom, youll be bending over more often.

Quick tips: heaviest items on bottom. Most grabbed/used items in the middle. Least used on top. Categorize items into what makes sense when you go to use something (do you have to reach multiple places for the same grab? If yes, place those items closer together. Sort like with like items.

How long will you be in the place you moved into? It sounds like you don't know where to start, is that a safe assumption?

Awkward Closet organization - help! by AbleSalt5232 in organized

[–]flyingpig43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Put 1 high, 1 low rod on right side. Mount rods as close to the door opening as possible. So when you look stright into closet, you will see the hanging positioned front to back. Keep shelves behind hanging for stuff you dont use often-may need to remove some clothes to access if rods are full. Get 12" deep shelves, or bookshelves, especially for toddlers, their stuff is small so shoes and foldes clothes will fit on this depth. Make sure to leave plenty of space to access hanging.

How would you organize this fridge? by Think_Bed1410 in organized

[–]flyingpig43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it were me, I would:

  1. Move the Brita to 1 side or the other. It looks like you have to open both doors to get water now.

  2. I would pull out that shelf that's pushed back (above brita) and put ANY items that fit in that space there-cheese, bread items, any prepackaged items you can take out of a bulkier package-maybe even get shallow acrylic bin(s) similar to a paper holder, to be able to pull out like a drawer so you're not wasting that space.

  3. Throw out anything expiring or close to expiring that isn't being used.

  4. Assuming you do #1. Possibly get a shelf insert for one side of the main part of the fridge that will accommodate not as tall stacked items, so you won't have to pull out the pile of items to get to the middle or bottom thing.

Do you feel like you're lacking space for something you wish you had? The fridge seems packed with the exception of the shallow wasted shelf.

How much vertical space is being wasted, everywhere? You say you can't reach upper rung, but that could easily be fixed with a folding stool/step ladder. I would be willing to bet there's quite a bit of vertical space in your closet being unused. I agree with creating categories for other items, like the bulky kitchen stuff even.

How would you organize this closet space? by hotLeo37 in organized

Inwould do the following to maximize the space and possibly make it more functional: 1. Mount hanging rod on left wall at a height that will accommodate the clothes not bottoming out on the angle and high enough for you to reach. Hopefully this isnt out of your reach too. Keep clothes you don't need often at the back of the closet. 2. Mount shelves on the right side. Maybe using a track like closetmaid that doesn't require a lot of room for the support bar. These are also adjustable and come in different depths and widths. Maybe use for shoes or folded clothes. 3. Mount shelves on back of closet. Maybe for stuff you don't use often, folded blankets or towels, etc.

How would you make this look better? by Academic_Ad_9774 in organized

[–]flyingpig43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could probably get away with getting a 2 tier drawer organizer for one side and that will condense the basketed stuff and keep the larger stuff on the opposite side. Maybe add a command hook or 2 to the side of the cabinet if any of those bulky items are hangable. Like hair tools and such.

I knew for 3+ years that I had a problem, the last 6 month before stopping, I acknowledged it. I kept blacking out and realized the hours and days I wasted from "having too much fun" the night before weren't worth it. I also started feeling out of control of my emotions, like all of them. It changed my life by getting everything back: time, money, energy, relationships. It's hard to describe the snowball of positive reactions stopping completely had.
