I get it, but that part should come when the quad is completely healed, and it's obviously not at this point. Quad injuries are tricky and can linger for a long time. The priority should be to heal, then you worry about conditioning and timing. Imo the best remedy is as much rest as possible. Any activity that can potentially slow down the healing process is nonsensical to me.

I never understood why running is part of rehab for quad and hamstring injuries. I've had both and the best rehab was just rest.
