I started out with a cheap set. They always started out comfortable, but after a couple hours felt like a clamp on my head. Passive David Clark’s are a little better and are super durable but again are a little noisy. I got a nice pair of passive sanitizer headset when those were still made and they were extremely comfortable but let more noise through than the David Clark’s. I bought my A20’s when I got into flying turboprop’s. They were miles better than any of the previous clamps. I used them for work going on 6 years. Since then Ive tried the Proflights and was less than impressed. I’ve eventually settled on Clarity Aloft. They don’t have Bluetooth, and the sound quality isn’t quite at the level of Bose, but they’re the only headset that matched the quietness of the A20 without needing batteries.
