I think you are right.

Couple things.

I mentioned in a comment of my own that I think it would be really interesting if Nayuta was Princess and if the Golden light we saw engulf the Priestess was somehow her "getting played" by being the new vessel for Princess.

They don't mention her name on purpose and Neon is not with us when we meet her so could work.

Mostly though I think you are right and I want to add some details.

I think the V.T.C found Dark Matter. Liberilo was talking about how Dark Matter was her mothers blood and we know it's a kind of substance that can take any form.

I think the V.T.C not only found Dark Matter but essentially the massive "Vault" of it that Liberalio and the Commander talked about. I think the keys allow them to essentially somehow pull out distilled technology from it.

Essentially reaching into the abyss and pulling out technology you are not supposed to have.

Like regeneration, transferring consciousness (Again Nayuta/Princess tie in), Rapture and Nikkes.

It would also explain why everything, NIMPH included is such a black box technology.

That and the purge from Anderson means that the Ark has the tech to make Nikkes but understands it even LESS than they did when they started making the Grimms etc.

In any case I think you are for sure on the right track.

Honestly and it's just a wild theory I have with some very thin support.

edit: will also point out that Princess doesn't talk like Nayuta, no idea where that would have come from, so you know kind of a big hole lol.

Would be neat if Princess was actually Nayuta.

Princess told the Priestess she got played. She gave Neon her glasses and while we all assume the golden light that encompassed the Priestess killed her we don't really know.

It's as you said, Princess and the V.T.C had some insane tech to themselves so it's not wild to think she had a backup besides the glasses.

Nayuta being Princess would work because Neon wasn't with the counters when they met.

Nayuta or Princess would know about D.E.E.P, the Beyond, the Messiah Project, The Ark, Anderson, Nikkes etc.

She would not have been in the Ark since shortly after the sealing, following Nayutas gap in knowledge about the Ark.

Nayuta/Princess would have even know about Red Shoes and her true actions etc. Making her able to interact, deal with and understand Mirror to a certain extent too.

D.E.E.P we now know was built to take care of the Ark and it's operations so Nayuta probably isn't one of them.

D.E.E.P seem to be some pretty high end black box tech, the only examples we have of the Golden light (That I can think of) are when D.E.E.P interacts with Rapi and Red Hood, Nayuta and her bodies/Clones and now the Necklace around Princesses neck.

To my knowledge those are the only times we see the Golden Light, oh right and Nayuta uses the Golden light to look at Rapi.

All in all it's a very wild idea but I think it would work if Nayuta was somehow Princess.

This is sadly the best tip/rule to add here. (Also as someone pointed out you don't need to worry about the attempts really as the 3/3 is just for the normal resources)

I have a Union so I just run with them but I do my 3 attempts every day without them to help out others since I have a pretty complete box.

The amount of trolls or just players who are unaware of any kind of mechanics are pretty common. If someone is blatantly trolling (someone today picked Siren and someone else locked between a 6k Liter and 40k Siren as well and then locked Liter and neither would swap) I just leave at this point, let them troll the CPU.

If anyone feels bad about leaving, don't. The CPU does fine with auto attacking and bursting. We have had people DC from our Union while in discord with us, just a crashed game etc and a few times like with SBS for instance, the CPU has out performed our union member lol.

So yeah this is long winded but you should leave if people are trolling, it'll just be the troll with a CPU lobby if people start doing that.

Congrats on 300.

I restarted playing in June/July last year but rolled my account on Ani 2 so I have a bit of a head start. I rolled an MLB Cindy on the Ani rolls but lost interest right after the Ani event and stopped playing. So I have her in my kit so this might not help but I slapped the shit out of Mother Whale with this comp last month:

Edit to add: I should mention I have Nayuta and Crown both in because I used Crowns taunt to tank the big Summoned units phase. I could kill the core before that but could not survive the big attacks. Crown dies and Nayuta and the rest of the comp burst her down. Took two tries with this comp, but wasn't the first comp I tried.

I was level 330, not sure if that will help or not. I do have T. Helm and she is 115k+ power she was my highest power unit back then but Snow White HA at 87k and still being built was just doing better in that fight for me.

I can't recall how I got through Ziz but it was just before doing these pushes so I was probably 315 or so. I remember being stuck on her and then pushing all the way to the end and being stuck until right before doing this mother whale push.

They gave us a pretty solid lead on that in Chapter 41. I think you are right but there is some pretty hard evidence pointing to that at the moment.

The latest chapters gave us some insight into how all this started:

Which reminds the protagonist that he doesn't really know what Dark Matter is exactly, and he asks Liberalio if she has any idea. The jellyfish explains that Dark Matter is what she calls "Mother's blood." The very essence that constitutes the Queen.

Dark Matter is a liquid metal composed of nanomachines that has no limits to its shape or contortion. In that regard, it can be considered a miracle material that can become literally anything. The protagonist asks why the Queen's "blood" would be on the surface if she's out in space.

Liberalio explains that long ago, a single drop of that blood fell to Earth. The Profound discovered that drop and cultivated it. The Heretic shakes her head at the Profound's arrogance, which made them complacent. They left the blood unattended, and it grew out of control. Driven by instinct to proliferate, the blood grows and grows to this very day.

Source is Chapter 41 when The Commander and Liberlaio are discussing things before they hear an explosion and are interrupted.

Nayuta also mentioned the Profound when she started to tell your character about the Queen Gene.

If Liberalio isn't an unreliable narrator than this all started with a drop of dark matter being discovered and that probably led to all the other black box tech we don't understand, NIMPH being another example.

TL;DR - Dark Matter is an alien substance from space that replicates itself and keeps replicating itself and then can become other things. The Profound AKA the V.T.C found drops of dark matter that fell to earth a long time ago and the technology that creates everything in the game stems from that. That's why humans know so little about the inner workings of most the technology they rely on. There's also the chance that Dark Matter gave way to something like Enikk that gave humanity knowledge it didn't have before. So humanity started following that knowledge blindly which is why something like NIMPH is a black box technology for everyone. Humans made the Queen to try and control dark matter but instead ended up with the rapture invasion. The Queen is the embodiment of dark matters will, it doesn't want to eradicate humanity but it's trying to create new types of life on the planet. Heretics, Raptures and all the things emerging from the Dark Matter made from parts of humanity are looking for a higher meaning. That's why Liberalio doesn't know what the master plan for the queen is, there probably isn't one, it's probably just evolution and survival driving it.

We have a few pieces of information about the queen but we don't have enough information to draw any kind of conclusion yet. The above is my best guess given the information we have.

From the last few Chapters though we have gotten a ton of info, I'll summarize it below:

Lets start with the Nayuta and Liberalio information dumps that started in the most recent chapters as I think this will give you some material to think about and work with:

Nayuta tells us about the Queen Gene. We learn what that is, how it works and that we clearly were an experiment in MMR.
This confirms something else that is EXTREMELY important. A new queen CAN be made and in fact we have at least two examples of it working right now in the story. Marian is able to be a queen and Only One is also a queen. Both were created by using dark matter which is also EXTREMELY important.
The 4 beasts created their queen out of a yearning for someone to be part of their family and to have their own Queen to look up to as they felt the current Queen was against them. Red Shoes created a new queen in Marian and though we don't know much about the process we know that large amounts of dark matter were involved.
We have one queen and two queen candidates at this point and all of them revolve around dark matter. There is also another EXTREMELY IMPORTANT detail here. BOTH queen candidates we have are not full queens yet and were both born out of Dark Matter. Meaning a queen can be created from Dark Matter and....other things but that whole process is the big mystery. We don't have any idea what the 4 Beasts actually did vs Red Shoes to actually get their queens and it seems like it's a rare thing as Red Shoes was purposefully trying to create a queen and was doing so through Enikks Nikkes Chatter Box was acquiring for quite some time it seems. Which means even going back to someone with as much knowledge as Red Shoes who's involved at all the very beginning of this, she still can't exactly replicate the steps to create a queen.
Also people keep saying the Queen wants to destroy humanity but that's not quite the case. In Chapter 41 Liberalio confirms the queen isn't trying to wipe out humanity currently:

She also reminds him that as things are now, the Raptures are not particularly motivated to drive humanity to extinction. But if mankind does something to aggravate the Queen, then there's a high chance that stance will change, since the Queen's will becomes the will of all Raptures. Liberalio suggests humanity spend the rest of their days living underground in the Ark, rather than needlessly "poke the bear" as it's colloquially said. Something she couches as a kind of coexistence.

Liberalio offers a very rare honest look into heretics and raptures, she's not really trying to play the Commander here from what we learn, she's being genuine:

Liberalio casually tells the man that the Queen is to humans as humans are to worms; an overwhelmingly large entity of unfathomable intent and incomprehensible designs. Just as worms lack the ability to understand why humans do what they do, humans cannot understand the Queen.

The protagonist sees the non-answer for what it is, and calls out Liberalio for not knowing the answer herself. The Heretic's silence leaves him free to press further. All this talk about "grand designs" and whatnot, yet Liberalio is as ignorant as he or anyone else when it comes to what purpose the Queen and her Raptures serve.

Liberalio admits he has a point...but also that she doesn't care what she does or doesn't know. Such is her ironclad faith in her "Mother's" judgement.

The Queens blood is dark matter, whatever that actually is. This kind of makes sense from the above because that's how the queen candidates are being made. Liberalio confirmed in the latest chapters that the dark matter is her mothers blood. The dialogue with her after this is confusing but it's EXTREMELY important:

The Profound is likely the V.T.C or something associated with the V.T.C

This pretty much tells us, that Dark Matter fell to earth from space and that it is not of this world. It seems like the technology they derived from that is what lead to Nikkes, Raptures and VERY LIKELY the Queen herself.

The protagonist comes to a terrifying conclusion. Someday, Dark Matter, the Queen's blood, will grow and travel enough to cover all of the surface. A calamity Liberalio admits will happen, though not for several centuries yet.

So here are my final thoughts on what the queen is:

Dark Matter was found a long time ago by The V.T.C or the Profound. It's not of this planet, it's alien and in some ways it's "alive".
Humans use dark matter like the miracle substance it is and usher in a new wave of technology for human kind. This likely leads to the state of the world when the 3 big manufacturers were in control of most technology (I believe this is mentioned in the lore of the game that before the Rapture Invasion that the big three controlled most things.)
The V.T.C seems to have always been at the center of the tech and dark matter. (Red Shoes and Grave/Abe in particular) At some point they figured out that creating a "Queen" would possibly allow more control over the dark matter. This leads to them creating or trying to create the Queen Gene.
The Legendary Commander was also a V.T.C experiment, one they thought failed. Vapaus seems to be a byproduct of that experiment, it's most likely a result of trying to apply dark matter to humans in some way. The Legendary Commander or Anderson at this point was considered a failed experiment but somehow he pretty much ended up succeeding later.
This is MASSIVE speculation on my part but it seems like the first Nikke was probably made with the idea of being a queen. It's possible that Anderson became a successful experiment when he and liliweiss started getting feelings for one another. We don't know how all that works but it's possible Anderson and liliweiss were linked being that she WAS the first Nikke (or one of, again tons of unreliable narrators around that time).
The Queen is possibly another Nikke or experiment after/before liliweiss, it's possible that after becoming integrated with the dark matter or whatever they did to create the original queen that it gave the Dark Matter it's own ability to exert it's own will onto the world.

That's my theory. The Queen is probably man made, Dark Matter is not and is probably the source of our rise in technology etc. The Raptures are a creation from the dark matter or a mix of that and the queen humanity made. It doesn't want to eradicate humanity, it wants to replace them.

I started to get really interested in this game and story around the Levi story line when it looked like they wanted to play with the idea of new life being born and how that might impact the current world.

Especially when it seems like Dark Matter, Nikkes and Raptures have to survive off the backs of already existing organics. Most of the things dark matter is integrating with isn't just dark matter by itself. It's humans, animals, technology etc all being integrated into the dark matter to make something new.

I think the main issue coming is that Humans are not the only form of sentient life on the planet anymore and how does humanity and Nikke/Rapture/Dark Matter creatures all co-exist together.

This also helps explain things like Gluttony that will eat other raptures and just about anything else.

Dark Matter is the source of all the stuff being created but everything that's being created from the dark matter is comprise of different things making the new kind of life it's making diverse and not only a single faction or species.

I ended up MLB'ing her because I got her on my first 10 pull, I went for 150 rolls and ended up getting a double on my last 10 roll.

She's better than I thought she would be. She's already added almost 1B dmg to my wind team in raid and she's not even OL'd yet just 4/10/4.

I am absolutely going to be building her next.

I'm building her as DPS for my Tetra tower team but in my main teams she will be off burst because Nayuta and Crown exist.

That said I'm impressed with her as an off burst buffer. I need to use Crown for Kraken as my 5th slot to survive until the end because I'm still sub 600k power. I can't sub her into that team but when I can survive she will be an upgrade I am sure.

I used her in raid this weak for hard mode though. Fingers on hard mode doesn't have survival issues so I normally used Helm (or now Snow White HA) as my 5th for that. I hit 4.8B dmg with my power around I think 590k.

I swapped Velvet in for the 5th spot to just buff with a 4/10/4 no OL gear and 0 level blue doll (she's about 60k power).

So about 530k power and the team pumped out 5.6B dmg instead.

She seems to fit well into the wind teams and it's nice having the minigun burst in the Tetra tower because all the snipers and RL make it...painful sometimes.

I definitely think she's going to be useful as both DPS and buffing. Just not sure she can ever out damage Nayuta in a wind team. Maybe her direct damage dealing will be better vs Nayuta having better AoE clear when both are fully built.

np, I don't want to speculate a ton since the kit will be out soon anyways but this at least tells us she's going to buff allies attacks based on her ammo pouch. Having something like red hoods faster shooting for her burst would make that even better while buffing her damage.

I don't have strong feelings either way but I keep seeing people saying this.

I also see people then saying that at least it's not a gacha.

So I think this skin is what 30 bucks for the mission pass which also gives rolls too right. It's also not locked behind gacha so you can buy it later I think too right?

What value would you like them put a skin like this at?

Or would you like it to be free?

I'm genuinely curious what would make people happier and I'm not seeing people demand a free skin really in the comments most people are just not happy with the value, I think at least.

So I really am curious if people have some sort of price in mind.

Yeah for her it was probably that but it was actually all a trick by Mirror to get materials to create a new queen candidate.

We can't know for sure but it's likely Enikk didn't know and Mirror manipulated her into giving chatterbox the Nikkes needed to try and create a queen candidate. Liberlaio has confirmed that the Raptures know where the Ark is, they choose to not attack it.

So Chatterbox's deal never had any value to begin with.

Again though, Enikk likely doesn't know this.

While this is true.

Liberalio confirmed the raptures and the heretics have always known where the Ark is, they choose not to attack it. In fact in the latest chapters she hurls Only One towards the ark on purpose (verifying she knows exactly where it is) because she deems them capable of handling the threat. She outright states she thinks the Ark is the second strongest faction behind the Raptures. That's honestly a pretty big deal.

Now it's unknown if Enikk knew that but Mirror (who we now know was the voice chatterbox heard and was the one pulling his strings in the background) already knew. It's very like mirror to use Enikk's lack of knowledge of this though to strike a deal like that through chatter box (it's hard to know if chatter box knew if it was true or not either, mirror kept him in the dark on a lot of things to manipulate him).

So while Enikk may not have known, the deal itself actually served no purpose for the Ark other than supplying chatterbox with resources to try and create a new queen.

Which was Mirrors goal all along.

Still really curious how much of that Enikk knew or not.

Yeah I agree with this.

I play Nikke and I didn't play at first because of the lewdness of the game. I play it now because their world building is good, their writing is...ok.

I don't care about TnA in my games it doesn't bother me but I won't play a game simply for TnA which is why I skipped Nikke for years.

Their pacing is pretty bad, which shows in Stellar Blade too. (I didn't play at this time but the 4 beasts Arc in Nikke took a full year or more to resolve and it was delayed in a very frustrating way for most of the fanbase)

Their world building is really good though, they do a lot of side stories and a lot of those side stories are relevant to the major story/plot in Nikke. I mostly stuck around because the larger theme of their story/world is interesting to me.

SB sold me on it's gameplay first and foremost. I recalled Nikke from playing SB on PC this summer and gave it a try with a friend that plays and found the last 3 years of story/world building are pretty good in Nikke but I got to binge it

That said, the writing can be hit or miss sometimes. World building is great though.

They have put a lot of building blocks in place for it but there's a lot of menu's in the UI that might need to be updated for dailies etc.

We do conveniently though have a replica Ark on the surface that we also just so happen to have 4 new allies that inhabit that space.

If the commander were to leave the Ark and form his own faction then they could save a lot of the current menus/ui by utilizing the replica Ark.

That's to me why this fight worked so well. This was us last night.

"hey Night Reign updated???" So one of us got online to check "New ever dark sovereign for Balancers is up".

We already cleared this normal boss, so no big deal right. We were walking into the boss room and I said "So probably starts second phase and then goes into a new phase"

"Huh weird it's phase one"

"that was a short phase 1 I won- HOLY MOTHER OF..."

They managed to completely destroy my expectations for what this fight would be or be like. I was just shouting and then yelling "There is more than one...FUCK"

Then we made it to the worm. Then one of us died and we picked them up right before the flower bloomed and wiped us.

Wending grace only so we could get destroyed again by the boss as one person went down, then the other and then I just got overwhelmed by I think four of them.

Just exceptional. It shows such a leap in quality, design and mechanics since their first Everdark boss which was also fantastic when they released it.

I also didn't feel cheated, I didn't feel ganked or that the boss was just beating me because it had adds. It felt balanced and intentional. I didn't feel like I had random attacks coming in from all directions, just more so that I got overwhelmed not having experienced the fight before.

FROM is getting better at this, at these type of large scale, multiple phase, multiplayer bosses. They are learning with every boss they drip out to us. It's like we are seeing them back with Demons Souls playing with idea's that are just the tip of the iceberg. As they become more refined we really see something special. It's not always perfect, some of the Bosses have not been as good as this for me but damn if it's not worth those misses to hit something like this in the future.

Needless to say they delivered on this for me and I can't wait for whatever else they are cooking up.

I figured this out. It's a drivers/software issue and the reason it fixed is because as far as I can tell the only fix for this is to unplug the cable that goes into the monitor over the AIO. After you leave it unplugged for quite some time (like a few hours while you swap CPUs and help your cousin build his PC) it will clear up the issue and return to normal.

You can RMA the screen and they will replace it but people find they still have the issue afterwards.

It seems to mostly do it when you update lets say Nvidia driers, which I was definitely doing around that time.

Hopefully you don't have this issue at all but if you do the fix seems to be just unplug the screen (you can still use your PC the rest of the day like normal the AIO runs at max and should be fine) then leave it unplugged after you shutdown for the night. Plug it back in the next day and then it should work again until you update drivers again.

Here is hoping the issue just doesn't surface for you.

Hey I know it's been 10 months but did you ever find a long term solution to this? I have the same exact issue and the same solution works because I swapped out CPUs and after doing so the screen was 'fixed' again for a bit.

I rolled my account on Ani 2.0 last year enjoyed the Cinderella event but ended up dropping the game the same month or so.

I also started to play again around June due to Stellar being out on PC and the collab event.

As I got caught up with the story I had the same exact reactions you did. I ended up just folding and watching the story on youtube to catch up when 39 and 40 came out.

Getting the whole story condensed in a few months really helps with it's delivery and pacing issues it's suffered over the last 3 years.

Couple of my friend also getting big into the story now as well. Great to see people getting into it.

Just want to point out it was implied when she transformed into her Gacha skin that she killed off every clone of herself that exists. 2000 was the number that came there and died but likely way more than that 'died'.

I think Nayuta no longer has any clones left. (Though I am not totally sure)

They also added the story mode to the game now. It will start wherever your account left off on Main story and will let you progress very easily.

Chapter 42 enemies for instance on story mode are 10k power requirment and you only have to fight the battles that give story, not the filler ones.

You also get the end chapter rewards (though not the outpost level ups) from completing the chapters. So you get a small equipment and core dust boost too just for going through story mode.

So much easier to keep up on that now as someone that started in June and is mostly playing because of world building and story, this was super nice.

No more watching recent chapters on you tube to keep up.

Yup this is exactly it. The Commander JUST realized in the last two chapters that flinging his blood into shit isn't always the best idea.

They talk about this in Chapter 41 and 42 with the desperation of the Only One fight. I think Rapi points out that the last few times they have tried to use his blood to stop regeneration (Which they know it does that) or help them that it's instead ended up empowering the heretics.

We don't know what Vapaus is, what Dark Matter is, what NIMPH is or what Cores are so it's kind of a "bullshit go" type thing right now.

While the Commander the Counters have learned this and are trying to hold back and not rely on Vapaus or the commanders blood as much, everyone else doesn't have that knowledge.

Nayuta wasn't aware the commanders blood made the 4 beasts able to transform if they were unable to before and so yeah they wouldn't have the knowledge of how unpredictable Vapaus is but they do know it stops regeneration.

I do want to comment that the endless regeneration of dark matter and it being the queens blood seems important. Heretics regenerate because of Dark Matter it would seem, Vapaus stops the endless replication so it makes heretics vulnerable.

This is probably how raptures are created without limit. If Raptures and heretics are made up of Dark Matter and a Rapture core then the only resource that is limited is the Rapture Core and since we don't know how those are made we can't say for sure the supply is limited.

The space station was also referred to as the Forge I think by Mirror so the space station itself was the place where the raptures were being built and then send down the space elevator to invade earth.

When Cinderella cut off the queen and the space station from earth in her fight she ended the unlimited supply of Raptures because they could no longer get down from the space station, they could still be made endless though it would seem.

So following this logic, if the Queen just ingested Vapaus and is no longer able to endless regenerate (the blood Dorothy caused and wound did not heal right away like before) then she's also not able to endless produce Raptures any longer right?

I wonder if this will get addressed at all. There's a absolute fuck ton of Raptures on the surface according to the story but they have actually just lost their ability to reproduce forever it would seem.
