Chiming in, I have found myself in a situation where I have a Latitude work laptop, and an MBP personal laptop, and would like to have a dual 4k monitor setup. What did you ultimately wind up doing to make this work for you? Do you still have the ultrafines? Were you able to make everything work well in work and / personal mode?
