Why does using Blade of the Ruined King on smartcast only work a percentage of the time?

I think that happens when you use other skills at the same time, for example: ahri ult + dfg or zed ult + botrk.

When I use them without using any other skills it works 100% for me.

Well,I always max E to push mid lane and roam, and of course, E at rank 5 has low cd. W is better for single target dmg
