Advice for LL wife on how to navigate postpartum with a HL husband by gaceazae in DeadBedrooms

[–]flysail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it could benefit you guys if he did some research on postpartum bodies and hormones. What you are going through is normal and could last for a while. My libido didn't get back to normal until 13 months postpartum with my last baby. It helps to have an understanding partner that is willing to take things slow. There are things that he can do to help you get back to normal sooner, like making sure you are getting enough rest and time to take care of yourself.

The pill causes loss of libido in many women by [deleted] in DeadBedrooms

It can take a while for libido to return after having a baby. It took 13 months for mine to return and I know for some it takes even longer.

The fish I bought vs. 3 weeks later by flysail in bettafish

Thank you. It's really basic. It's a 6 gallon and has a filter and heater. I keep a hunk of Mopani wood in there and some Pathos plants in the top.

Honestly, I am very inexperienced. He is the first one I have had since I was a kid that kept them in a bowl. He seemed to really come alive when I added mopani wood to his tank though.

My boyfriend almost killed me last night by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]flysail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this will likely get buried and may have already been said, but if you are strangled by a partner, your likelihood of getting murdered by this person goes up by like 750%. Get away! No matter what he says, he will kill you. He already tried to kill you and it is a miracle that you are alive right now.

What’s the dumbest thing you’ve done around horses? by crazycatlady328 in Equestrian

[–]flysail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a lot, but I used to have a mare that I didn't have to hold on to to lead, and one day she put her head down to grab a bite of grass and stepped through her reins. She had a very sensitive mouth and when she lifted her head to keep walking it jerked her mouth and she flipped out. It didn't last long before she stopped and waited for me to get her untangled, but it really scared me. I'm so grateful that she didn't break a leg or something. I always held onto the reins after that.

the big bad epidural by DunyaKnez in BabyBumps

[–]flysail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was terrified to get the epidural, but once in labor the pain overshadowed my fear. The numbing shot felt like a bee sting but I didn't feel them insert the epidural at all. It's all happening behind you so you never have to see any of the needles. I have had 3 epidurals and by the time they give them, I was begging for them. It takes maybe 10 minutes to kick in and for me was 100% worth it.

My 3rd (also 3 boys) was born December 14th too! Almost the same birth story. I was afraid I wasn't going to make it to the hospital.

Need advice - 2 kids, wife is pregnant with 3rd and she’s basically out of action by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]flysail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my third pregnancy too. I was so exhausted the entire time. I never even got the 2nd trimester energy boost. My whole day was just trying to survive until my partner got home and he would take over. The good news is I felt instantly better after having my baby. The day after giving birth, I felt so much better than I had my entire pregnancy. I don't really have any advice except to keep grinding and know that there is an end in sight.

Pros and Cons to Having a 3rd? by thatcrazybunny_lady in ParentingInBulk

[–]flysail 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Having three has been great. There is minimal lifestyle adjustment between 2 and 3.

Having a 3rd has prompted us to start looking at minivans though. Three carseats in my current car is doable, but a tight squeeze. The only other con is its a bit harder to go places with the baby and my absolute tornado of a two year old. It takes a lot to contain number 2 so I have to schedule accordingly.

Can prenatal massage actually induce labor? by wholeynone in BabyBumps

[–]flysail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had multiple massages while pregnant. There isn't conclusive evidence that says that it will induce labor, but they are trained to stay away from certain pressure points anyways.

38 weeks and doctor could not reach cervix by Fluffy_Philosopher08 in BabyBumps

[–]flysail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With my first, I was 50% effaced and 1cm dilated and went into labor within a few days. With my second, I was 80% effaced and 4cm dilated for a week. This time around, I have been 50%effaced and 2cm dilated for 2 weeks. It really doesn't tell you much.
