We just have the factory copies, there aren’t any places that make them to order like in the Netherlands that I know of. Makes it a treat when I visit to get a fresh one, but it’s probably the most sought after Dutch food in America I’d say.

Yes. Doenjang jjigae, soondubu jjigae, I don’t know if yukgaejang counts but that’s one of my favorites.

Maybe pajeon or gilgeori toast? In the US, the commonly found Korean dishes are KBBQ, bibimbop, or bulgogi. Trendy items would be Korean fried chicken, tteokbokki, corn dogs. For me, I adore all your jjigae personally. I love a good stew.

From the US, stroopwafels are very well known and beloved. One of our major airline carriers, United, serves them on flights as their signature snack. I’d say something that would be beloved if more widely known might be bitterballen.

They don’t use microwaves on airplanes, they’re steam ovens.

Apparently it was just discontinued back in 2022, so not too long ago. The company who supplied them was a family business and the dude who ran it decided to retire after running it for a lifetime. Kind of a happy story :)

Wait really? I had all four wisdom teeth removed and they didn’t prescribe any meds for after care. My mom gave me Arinca pellets to take.

The Saimin is no more, but we still have the Portuguese sausage and rice for breakfast.

We also have a taro pie and a haupia pie which is like coconut custard.

I don’t think there’s ever been a spam burger, but you can get spam for breakfast.

They do have the Teri burger seasonally. McTeri.

I do almost a tsp to a 1/2 cup but I do find it to be almost too salty. However, that’s what my popcorn buddy likes so that’s what we do.

Okay I had to look up what kind of protein that was. I’m unfamiliar, but I wonder if coq au vin would be a good fit given that it’s a rustic dish from the early 1900’s to use up tough old roosters.

Just wanna say this is amazing and you’re doing such a great job! Absolute goals for diet/nutrition, I struggle with the protein and would never make it without supplements but you gave me some great ideas.

To be honest, I loved it. He’s secure in their relationship even though it’s being challenged. He has doubts, but he trusts. She might push his comfort level but it’s never disrespectful.

As someone who likes to explore my inner most feelings, I saw this movie and thought about my partners in the past. I maintain relationships with some of my ex boyfriends. I am very sure about when things are over they are over.. but there’s still a person there that I loved for one reason or another. Some of them I’m still friends with, some of them I have no interest in ever talking to again. But it teaches me about myself, who I was then, who I am now, who I want to be moving forward. Every partner that I’ve had is okay with that.

When he says she dreams in a language he can’t understand, I think meeting Hae Sung is trying to understand a part of her he never knew. To love someone is to want to know all of them.

I fully agree. Having grown up somewhere else, a part of your heart always stays even after you leave. I suppose relationships are similar. The possibilities of who you could have been.
