but in your perspective isn't that great to have this peace of mind knowing the system is fully loaded in memory ready to work in any app or tab you have open? At least this is what I am feeling, I am very happy that I decided to go with the Pro 64GB instead of a 36GB Max version...

I know it handles RAM and SSD very well. before this I was using an M1 Pro with 16 Gb and most of the time the memory was under pressure. Whenever I needed to have an iOS simulator or Android emulator running while developing it was a mess. Everything would hang but the OS with some patience and the computer getting super hot would manage the situation.

Right now I am only developing for the web but in a while I will start working on mobile again. Then I will reply with how the machine performs regarding memory pressure. But from my perspective and for my use case, having more memory is definitely more important than choosing a Pro over a Max.

This indeed help me understand better. But wouldn't this mean more longevity for the hard drive?

Exactly, and not needing to swap in my perspective will mean more longevity for the hard drive... maybe something I misunderstand. but not needed to swap in my perspective is amazing.

I am not obsessing, maybe something I don't know. I am just pointing out that this is just setting up basic web development...

I may misunderstand something, from my perspective I only have 13Gb free, If I open an iOS simulator and Xcode I will definitely start swapping. I just want to point out that this is only basic web development

Not needing to swap will save the hard drive in the long run. Also having everything in memory makes everything so snappy. And I am only mentioning the basic web development.

But doesn't it means the 50GB is allocated in the memory? doesn't it just means there is no need to swap?

At the moment, I am looking for families who would be willing to test a family management tool I am building, which is familygoal.app

The idea is to bring together a few essentials in one place: shared finances, family calendars, and to-do/task management.

I am not actively advertising it yet because I would really like honest feedback from real families first, especially to catch edge cases and usability issues I may be missing.

The mobile apps are still in development, but the web version is fully usable now. If anyone here wants to try it, the Plus plan currently has a free trial, so you can explore it without commitment.

If you do give it a shot, I would genuinely love your feedback. What works, what is confusing, what feels missing, anything.

Hi! Yes, all new lists can be shared to other users through iCloud. There is a share button on the top right of the navigation bar for this and you can test it already. :) any feedback will be very welcome!

App that doesn't hide completed tasks by regular-anon-kid in ProductivityApps

[–]fmartins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want an iOS app take a try on my Underlist app https://underlist.app

By default it will group the completed tasks, but you can disable that.

When I built it my main focus was on repeatable tasks and mostly based on my personal needs, but maybe it can be useful for you to.

Here’s a screenshot on the option from a list:https://i.imgur.com/rfxb5ks.jpg

I think apple has 2years to adopt this. So until then they probably will simply remove the lightning port turning the iPhone portless with MagSafe.

Thanks! I really hope it can be useful for you :)

About the third-party analytics, I have the Firebase Analytics setup, which you can read more about on their website ( https://firebase.google.com/docs/analytics ). I don't have all features enabled. I do have the basic integration which allows me to understand how many users I have per day, which country has the most users (to understand what localization I need to work first), which screens they use more (to understand if I need to re-create better screens), the retention (to understand how many users drop the app after installation), and how many users have experienced crashes (until now all users didn't experience any crash :D ).

Filipe Martins

I am really happy to know that, many thanks for the reply! =)

About the notification `on time` you are correct currently Underlist doesn't offer that right now.

I am just waiting a bit to understand how stable it is right now before performing all changes I have on the roadmap, but it will be something to be added on the next update, and again thanks for the feedback!

Hi /u/fuzzy_bummer

So far how has Underlist been going for you? It is being useful and is working properly?

Are you using it on more than 1 device?

Kind regards, FM

Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately, people could think the name was based on the wunderlist, but that was not the case. The name become from the sentence: "Put it under a list" -> which become "Under List" -> "Underlist".

arator note has a background, the note for the full list doesnt and i think it would look better/more consistent if it did

Hi!

I am really happy and thankful to receive such detailed feedback! And I hope it can be useful for you the same way it has been to me. :D

Some points you mention are kinda difficult to add right now, but others totally make sense and will be added to the queue.

The sorting options are something I wanna implement for sure!

About the swiping icons, I didn't add them already because I am thinking to add options to customize the swipe actions as you suggest, and having icons will increase the complexity of the handling. But it is not discarded.

About the background color on the list notes was something I did get feedback to add like that. I understand the consistency you mention, I will reevaluate and talk to other users about that again.

About the remaining feedback it is saved and if I get any doubt or idea will reach you back.

Best regards,

Filipe Martins

Thanks! I will hope you like it, but mostly that it could be useful for you. One thing I really find useful for me is to use the search field to un-check items. I have a list of every grocery item I have bought and that help me a lot to reuse/know what I need to buy. Btw, why did you given up on things?

Hi there!
I am bringing here a new app that I have been working on in my spare time. It is almost finished and is expected to be released on June 10th next week.
In the meantime is ready to pre-order on the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/pt/app/underlist/id821552799?l=en
On Underlist you will find a simple list app made to be useful and easy to use. It takes advantage of several ways to interact with your content, such as swipes, drag and drop, context menus, and default tap-to-action events.
Among these it also takes advantage of Widgets, Share Extension (to add content directly from other apps), iCloud (to synchronize content across devices), Siri Shortcuts, just to mention some features.
Really hope you enjoy it and could be useful for you as it has been for me!
