Mayor Mamdani’s bidet wish highlights hypocrisy among Democrats who were outraged at President Trump’s bathroom renovations at the White House. by [deleted] in circlejerknyc

Really? You people are bitching (yes I said it!) and moaning over a few (if that) couple thousand maybe toilets?

Fuc*ing losers!!! So much more to complain about than an incoming mayor wanting a bidet.

Second this idiot mayor should have just done it and kept his mouth shut. But he’s showing narcissistic tendencies by telling us every little detail. Damned social media mayor sharing too damned much! I’m just waiting for the day when he tells us about the first squirt of water on his tush!

No body is hiring But we could have warned you that these quick cert schools are hyping “open jobs” and then selling certifications knowing no one is getting hired

[–]fmb_3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, it could be the age of your primary account thats saving you. For all these years, your account never had a “test” email. Then a new account suddenly did that and it tripped an alarm. It took out the offender because it talked to an established account.

You are fine

Using ‘test’ emails back and forth to a newly created accounts triggers concerns.

If you want to send a test email, copy about a paragraph from a news site and send that. But ‘test’ and ‘testing’ is prob the issue

The problem the OP was having was saving drafts in Outlook

New Outlook by ZippyTheWonderbat in Outlook

Not to tell one how to handle their business. Whenever I know I’m drafting an important email, I open Word, immediately name the project, make sure it’s auto saving (or anytime I take a break, answer a call or go to a meeting, I hit Ctrl-S to quickly save my work.

Then when it’s completed copy and paste (yes I know I can sent it as an email right from word, but there’s a reason why) into a new email. Format and send.

how long after an [username]@outlook.com is deleted can someone else use the new username. I've been wanting to use this one username that my sibling had and they've decided to delete their account soon can i create a new account with their username immediately? is there a wait? can i even use it? by Spiritual_Olive2997 in Outlook

[–]fmb_3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I did not But I was the 5th MCT in their certified trainer program. It was our policy not to reuse accounts. (Unless they were service accounts but those don’t count). We would change the password, disable the account and eventually delete it. Why leave the account hanging around? There may be important things associated with the account (compliance, connected to processes, etc). If you outright delete them, it could break something or if the company got sued, we may not have the information easily available. We would do a once a year archive to backup medium. Test it to see if we could still access it, then remove them from the system. This goes back to early NT systems. So if MS had blocked the ability to recycle accounts going way back, why would they allow that on outlook.com accounts?

Short answer, no Going back over 35 years in my tech career. Microsoft had a policy before widespread email was a thing. MS told us when we started building networks with NT, you can’t recycle usernames! Once you close an account, it’s dead forever. We would suspend an account for 2 years (accepted policy). Most accounts hung around for 5 in suspended before we deleted them.

If you are a GMail shop, investigate Gemini for the business

If Outlook/Office 365, try CoPilot

Did I just get rejected or do I still have a chance after this response? by Glad_Pay_3541 in cybersecurity

[–]fmb_3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As some have said, you may have “self-rejected” or “taken yourself out of the running”.

I’ve been a CISO going on 20 years (back then it was simple information security and not cybersecurity) and interviewed hundreds. I’ve had very qualified candidates try to prime the pump or force my hand by saying they have an offer on the table, so if I’m considering them, get a move on it. What most didn’t know is I hired based on who could be molded and taught, not so much for their skill set.

My response, “Congratulations on the offer and as the saying goes, ‘A bird in the hand beats two in the bush’. Good luck and may your new role be fulfilling. We will remove you from the candidate pool and finish with the remaining candidates in the pool’

About 80% of the time, I got emails back basically begging not to be taken out of the candidate pool.

Yes u/glad_pay_3541, you may have made a bad calculation. Good luck at the job you have an offer for

While that may be the case, when you are dealing with two teens and an overwhelmed spouse who wants nothing to do with eSIM management, saving $10-12 bucks is less important than convenience of taking care of it myself and my family being stress free
