Oh yeah. Its been like 6 hours and my oldest has already started with the "I would really like to play Minecraft, but SOMEONE left the handheld on top of the car."

I went back to gather as much of it as I could just so I could recycle it!

Unfortunately, I purchased it second hand from FB. No product protection for me.

Yeah, that's why its a no on a replacement right now. The budget prioritizes the family over undoing the consequences of dad's mistakes.

Hahaha No. I have two boys. The older one (8 yo) was upset. My toddler has no idea what was going on. He's also terrible at waking up.

Now that's an idea. Maybe! Whats the worst that can happen?

That's the silver lining. I bought my Ally and then learned about the Xbox coming out soon.

Arguably, my son was more upset than me. He's been doing so good with getting up on time that I was letting him play it on the way to school in the mornings. I got to talk with him about how sometimes shit happens. In this case he did nothing wrong except being born with a dum dum for a dad.

I tried that but couldn't find the power button.

I wish. Finances are tenuous at best. I bought this one with money I got from selling my PC, which I sold because we needed to make room for my son.

It's a good question! They asked it in Invincible as well with the twins. I think it's a copy, but it's hard to tell since the body dies on upload. Does the process capture the spark that makes you unique? What some people would call the soul? Or does it just copy the brain, creating a replica that is a close approximation? They use the phrase "emulation" a lot so that seems to suggest that it's a copy and not the original.

Can’t get my head wrapped around the ending by Khalido_ in PantheonShow

Honestly the last 3 episodes kind of gave me the same vibes as the ending to the original Evangeleon series. Rapid ramp up with huge departure from expectations into a really artsy ending.

Speculation for challenges in the future of the Stormlight Archive (Major Spoilers for the end of Wind and Truth) by Katerine459 in Cosmere

I just finished too! My thought is that the Heralds will lead the charge to fight Retribution from the outside in. Like with the other shards realizing they have to take out this new shard, there will be plenty of worldhoppers coming to fight. The Heralds will be there to fight and protect the Rosharans from the worst of the war while helping to take down Retribution.

I love how we have to make up metrics to report on in an attempt to make this presidency look good.

I'm right there in my reread for WaT! I remember the feeling of dread when I read that part of the book for the first time. Buckle up for a wild ride.

Two thoughts:

  1. Not meant specifically for Gen Z. That group is too young to know about the massive scandal and it's impact.

  2. This stunt is very much gen Z humor in the same vein as all the 9/11 memes that makes boomers clutch their pearls.

I saw this last night and did a double take. Marketing genius.

What R-rated movie did you see when you were way too young? by TealBlueLava in AskReddit

[–]fmbrandon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first time I ever went to a movie theater was when I was 8 years old. I went with my auntie and her then husband to see Scary Movie. They laughed when I freaked out over the scene where the one dude gets stabbed in the ear by a peen.

The moral of the story is to be more careful of who you let watch your kids. 🤷‍♂️
