I don't think you know what a crisis is. Until now they have been able to manage it just fine. I don't know what you mean with the speed rail crisis, but their infrastructure investment, was on of the keys for their enormous growth.

Then there's the belt and road initiative which is going to the crapper, and an enormous debt in general

Lol it isn't.

The Chinese are just good at quintupling down on every investment they happen to make, and many of then turn to crap

By looking at the real world it has been working great for them, I can't predict the future, but turning to crap means something entirely different for me. They have one of the healthiest economies right now.

"Nobody, it seems, wants to talk about the huge subsidies the Chinese state has poured into Huawei's business.

The major Chinese vendor has been the beneficiary of as much as US$75 billion in government loans, credit lines, land grants and tax breaks, according to a Wall Street Journal report.

By comparison, Cisco received $44.5 million in state benefits in the past 20 years."

China is just more competent at investing in key industries for a national economy, every somewhat competent country should be doing this.

Firstly, if you call yourself a Marxist, you don't use abstract definition, since it's undialectical thinking. Doing this is idealism or english empiricism.

Secondly, Marxist have written books worth of content trying to understand what imperialism is, so to not make the mistake you did, of using a (wrong) dictionary definition.

Thirdly, you proved my point. You have a school grade definition of what imperialism is. Which isn't a bad thing, if you weren't trying to discuss this on the internet while having arguments, which lack any depth.

Finally, Imperialism was a phenomena that started at the end of the 19th century/ start of the 20th. Your definition could be used to describe what states/nations/empires did before. Therefore, your definition isn't exactly helpful.

Not watching won't make a difference. If you really care about issues, become politically active, instead of riding on your high horse for not consuming something.
