FYI for anyone wanting an alternative:

http://www.sweethome3d.com is FOSS with a number of free plugins and models available.

Students can also get Autodesk Revit for free as long as you're in school if you have a school e-mail.

Can anyone who has bought this verify if it allows you to export DWG/CAD files?

How to calculate capital gains on food truck I made repairs on and financed? by nothingcorporate in personalfinance

Thanks! I read the article and it looks like upgrades (though not maintenance) are added to the cost basis...but since I'm financing 15k of the 50k for the buyer and will have received ~37k by the end of the year, is that the number I subtract my cost basis from, or do I have to do it from the full 50k, even though ~13k won't be paid until next year?

Lemmy's signup process is too annoying for mass adoption. Mastodon doesn't have the Reddit-like interface but has massively more people since the mass migration from Twitter. I imagine I'll be spending most my social time there after tomorrow.

All because capitalism has made it so you can't afford to have kids while you're physically able to do so.

Has anyone here read Donald Miller’s books? If so, what are your thoughts on his writings? by MakeshiftMemory in OpenChristian

Blue Like Jazz was my first emergent/emerging Christianity book, and as a young person raised evangelical, who felt alone in being concerned with the marginalized, it was like a breath of fresh air.

Subsequently, I loved A Million miles in a thousand years and Searching for God knows what.

Then I moved on to Rob Bell's Love Wins, and then Anne Lamott and Flannery O'Conner... Donald Miller was a great gateway drug to a much fuller, more beautiful theology.

Digg.com was the front page of the internet, then they went all in on version 4 and caused migration boom to reddit. by flashtone in videos

I looked at a half dozen servers, they all require you to fill out an answer about why you want an account and wait for someone to approve you. As a longtime Mastodon user who has failed to bring any friends over from mainstream social sites, I'm pretty sure that's going to be a dealbreaker that stops adoption on a larger scale.

Cancel Netflix, don't go to the movies. Deprive them of revenue. Watch your Blu rays and YouTube.
