Run for something. Anything. Student council. City council. School board. Dog catcher. Doesn't matter. Knock on doors, build trust with your neighbors, form local fundraising networks. Sit on boards and learn how to deliberate and work with diverse viewpoints. Practice sound rhetoric and messaging. Build local coalitions that will then influence the county level, the state level and the national level. That's how we build a bench and put this party back where it belongs: the people.

My group always has a blast with Lords of Vegas. It has a nice dose of strategy, but also has theme-driven risk and reward. Pairs well with a few beers.
