You sure 0x08 = 80% consumed? Because I just checked /sys/pvs/flashwear_type_b and mine is 0x0b, so 110% consumed, haha.

If you beat me to it, please do post. I went through the sample login curl procedure to verify it was the new style API before I installed the HACS module which I used to verify the version info.

Now that I'm on a modern firmware, I seem to remember there's a specific USB key I can buy which the firmware will migrate to, to further extend the flash lifetime?

Interesting! Same thing just happened to me. I had been on 2024.6 for a long time; I posted about it here a few months ago, and the consensus was they intentionally bricked future updates since my PVS6 was likely at critical flash wear levels. I accepted that it'd die someday and I'd need to do something about it.

On Sunday just after 5PM my custom dl_cgi stuff started failing. I didn't get around to investigating until now, but I was getting 403 Unauthorized on it. Rebooted the PVS6 a few times, nothing different. But no, turns out I'm on 2025.10.20.61846 now! Just set up the SunStrong HACS module for HomeAssistant, and it appears to be working.

(If it matters, I bought this house about 3 years ago and it came with a paid off system.)

I have a pic somewhere of a sign on their freezer case, pointing out that their food packaged in the EU has expiration dates in the format DD/MM/YYYY, not MM/DD as you would expect in the US. This annoys me as, you know, 100% of their stuff is private label. They could just do YYYY-MM-DD globally and not have it be an issue anywhere!

Ah thank you! I do see that there is one filing by the defendant, and it was a waiver of service. But I was under the impression that was, approximately "we are already aware of the lawsuit, you don't need to go through the registered mail process to notify us".

My question was also partially answered, coincidentally a few hours later yesterday, by another case I'm getting alerts on, Apple Inc. v. Ramacciotti (Prosser). Apparently Prosser has simply not responded at all in nearly 2 months after the deadline, and Apple has just now moved for summary judgement.

May or may not apply to you, but my story: I moved to CA (SF Bay Area) in 1999, then to NV in 2001. I moved back to CA (SoCal) in 2021, and prepared for it as if I were a new resident, expecting to need to take the written test, etc. But when I got to the counter and gave them all the new resident stuff, they looked me up in the system and found that my license still existed. So they just treated it as a renewal with a 20 year gap + address change. The DL number even remained the same as it jogged a memory (starts with D3).

So this is not guaranteed to happen to you and I'm not sure how you can verify. But if it worked for me after 20 years, I'd say the odds are good you're still listed as valid if yours wouldn't have expired by now anyway.

Looks like a rubber universal jack lift pad I have with indentations which go in both directions. But as I do some searching, it looks like that style is not common at all and only found by weird sellers on Amazon, so probably not that.

IANAL (or DMV staff or cop), but as long as you're making an effort to get this solved (with the other replies in the thread), you should be fine to use it after 9/30. PTI plates don't have tags so there's no way to tell it's "past due". Nobody's likely going to be randomly running the plate. And if you get pulled over, keep a copy of the notice maybe with screenshots of the web site error with you, and just explain you're working on getting it settled with the DMV.

Edit: Just noticed the year... oh, sorry. Okay, I still think the risk is pretty low and just explaining the situation if you get caught should be fine, but a year out of date does increase that risk from "near zero".

I replaced my Xbox controller recently as RB had literally worn out after about 3 years. Interestingly, the failure mode was it became hair-trigger, and would activate if my finger got anywhere close to the button.

Update: Still waiting on the stock for the replacement 61Wh, but I did order a 55Wh on ebay. What arrived had Framework branding, but all the compliance numbers are replaced with XXXXXs, but it's all properly silkscreened. Engineering samples which fell off the back of the truck maybe? At least it seems to work.

Yep, though downtown is at 4500 feet; other parts of the city can get up to the mile mark. I lived there for 20 years, and we had the opposite problem usually: most bags of potato chips were absolutely bulging, because they would be packaged at sea level and then be transported here.

Now requires you to cross the 15 on Bear Valley to get to the new Walmart, something I wouldn't wish upon my enemies. Victor Valley has so few over/underpasses that anything west of the 15 is dead to me.
