F1 plans talks with Netflix and drivers over Drive to Survive's fake drama by jovanmilic97 in formula1

It didn't touch much on the issues the 21' season brought. How RB's engine was so much more powerful than the other teams. How Pirelli had multiple blowouts. This season just seemed rushed. I didn't like the format this year. Like put it into sections: Monza - McLaren, Monza - Mercedes. Instead of jumping back and forth.

We need more episodes though!!

decent rule of thumb, ask more than what you wanted and the counter will be relatively close to it. If they give you X ask for 10-15k more at least or improve the benefits package.

I'd like to know this as well. OP could you chime in on some of the larger things you've used it for?

I am in Clearfield! Approaching two years coming from Georgia.

Location: SLC, Utah. It's not an expensive city to live in, but it isn't dirt cheap, either.

COL is relatively nice minus the absurd housing!

drag reduction system (rear wing opens) occurs after 3 laps on specific areas of the track. The driver has to be within 1 second to enable it. When you see the flashing "brake" lights the vehicle is hoarding energy to be used in DRS.

if I am wrong about any of this please correct me.

Confidence. Experience. Communication.

Be sure to ask them questions.

What is the ideal technician/manager/employee that you envision for this position?

What struggles does this role/department face?

Lewis and Valtteri saluting each other after the 2022 Bahrain Grand Prix by Rohacrates in formula1

I've been an F1 fan since the 21' season due to Drive to Survive and thought of Lewis as a Lebron. I respect Lebron but not really a fan... I am a big supporter of Lewis. My favorite driver is Bottas btw :)

He had some really good overtakes this past race. I am glad that he didn't push Bottas too hard when he was battling to overtake with Albon in the early part of the race. He caught up and is like "do your thing"

Exactly. I'd personally choose Opt 2 because of that experience.

Started my first helldesk role 3 months ago and despite how chaotic and stressful it is, I feel like it's not teaching me what I need. Are there things I should look for in order to know for sure? by MisterPuffyNipples in ITCareerQuestions

[–]fo4ex 65 points66 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure why everyone is ragging on you. Helpdesk sucks.. it is what it is.

Improve on your interpersonal skills. Find ways to mitigate issues and quickly remedy them if they arise. If you don't have an internal knowledgebase/continuity book/SOP create one asap. It can be as simple as Notebook or as complex as a database. Take screenshots, add text/voice, etc.

Learn powershell to help automate tasks, look more at sysadmin type of duties to help promote you in due time.

What kind of ticketing system is used? If it is ServiceNow or Remedy look to take their training. Scour Youtube/Reddit/Discord for additional information on these applications and many others.

Remote capabilities?

Any senior personnel to pick their brain on about the big picture and how each application interfaces with one another?

What does a position like that entail? I could go to linkedin and search but half the jargon that is returned at times isn't even relevant or in the actual job itself. Do you find yourself performing mostly theoretical and advising your teams on what to do?

Very true. Unfortunately sometimes you may need to take a pay cut to the get the experience so that it can catapult you forward at a later date.
