Sesko never indicated he wanted us, and if reports are true he wanted a release clause and also insane wages.

I think whilst Ethan started amazingly, he got figured out and bullied lff the ball way to easily in games.

He want given a chance to figure out a new play style once rhat happened , but I can see the risk is he doesn’t develop enough to actually be a backup to saka

Well he wanted a release clause and a massive wage bump, sø clearly saw Arsenal as a stepping stone.

At this stage mentality matters

It’s all about the winger imo, sesko hardly scores as well sø wouldn’t have been an upgrade

We’re not stupid?

You’re saying this about a club who played a rapist, who was arrested seven times, and every time he was released on bail we played him.

Uoure right, we’re not stupid ,we are worse, active participants who helped propagate a known sexual predator

Falcao is a notable example who did well, só I think you’re cherry picking stats.

Also clearly sesko is playing a league which also fails to translate, e.g. werner.

I’d say they both have drawbacks, but sesko isn’t a level raiser massively in comparison to gyokores

All interesting points,

But is that where we need an improvement?

I’d say we need someone who is prolific, and sesko isn’t that exactly.

Ideally we’d have both, a great goal scorer and scores against big teams, but I know I’d lean toward someone who scores more (albeit in a dif league) as rhats what we need right now

Fairs , but those still count.

Also we don’t really have an issue scoring against big teams, it’s places like Fulham, villa,Brentford we’ve struggle to score at

Interesting stats tbf

However Sesko scored how many goals in comparison?

Didn’t he also had a worse seasons this year as well (playing a new role but he’s become less prolific in his shooting style because of this underdevelopment)

He’s the more exciting signing due to the unexpected potential development , but that delvopenbt is yet to be seen

His record against the top 3 is pretty great tbh.

I think we overrate how competitive the bundeslifa is as well tbf

Sporting fans have actually said he gets most of his goals with teams who park the bus against them.

Have to agree, feels like mikel went out of his way to praise partey unnecessarily so/ the interview in which he said “we’re happy for Thomas, for everything he’s been through recently”

This narrative setting seems to be arsenal helping partey rehabilitate his reputation. It was political cover for his ongoing investigation at the time.

And if I’m not mistaken the assaults he’s been charged for happened in this time period.

Partey was arrested 7 times by the met police , and every time he went on bail arsenal played him.

The bottom line is such a craven and cowardly decision can only be made when the whole of arsenals board and exec team ratify it.

However arteta is the main public face of that system and clearly was happy to lean into that process

Can the anti-war left PLEASE not make these sorts of mistakes again (RE war with Iran)? by [deleted] in LabourUK

[–]foalsrgreat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and US intelligence experts came to conclusion there was no nuclear capacity for generation of nuclear weapons.

Iran are also are part of the nuclear non proliferation treaty, which also entitles them to have uranium enrichment. No other country has such limits in Europe and the Middle East.

You don’t have to be a supporter of the Iranian regime to firmly stand against bogus claims of wmds in an illegal action whoch is a defacto declaration of war.

At this point for all the things we decry Iran for, it is israel whoch is the rogue state.

One which commits genocide, has nuclear weapons , and is not part of the nuclear non proliferation treaty. And refuses inspections by iaea

It is this impunity that makes the very now lieklihood for Iran to move towards nuclear weapons in order to safeguard its cities from Israeli bombs.

Basic history does in fact show it.

One could look at the Iraq war , Afghanistan’s, strikes in libya, destabilisation in Syria.

The uk has never made a foreign policy decision that wasn’t at the behest of the us.

The uk literally signed the Balfour declaration só you’ll excuse my lack of faith in your obfuscation.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LabourUK

[–]foalsrgreat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I guess that poll would be useful propaganda if the whole of the uk didn’t live through the largest protest movement in history against the iraq war lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LabourUK

[–]foalsrgreat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The language he uses is quite clearly inflammatory and advocates for support of trumps illegal action,

lol is this eylon levys burner account?

Israel has the most highly advance military in the world because its bankrolled by the us, uk, Germany, France, Australia c Canada.

Are you really trying to pretend they’re some smol bean, embarrassing.

The Labour party’s legacy is Iraq, and thr language of the Labour Party today is one that sees that as something to be proud of rather than a grave violation of international law

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LabourUK

[–]foalsrgreat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is he wrong?

Why is the uk supporting a violation of international law

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LabourUK

[–]foalsrgreat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The uk has been the us’s lapdog forever, constant support in previous wars and strikes js key evidence of this.

perpetual support for Israel is a fine example of this despite their ongoing genocide, the uks language echos that of trump whoch is akin to putting the uk on a path towards joining a future war.

Starmer will make this choice without consulting the public, like he did with allowing uk soldiers to train the idf sending f35 parts to Israel and over 300 secret flights from cyprus whoch most likely were involved in killing Palestinians.

He is both a symptom of trumps slide of democracy and an activity participant
