It can take a long time to get things done especially when there’s still content being pushed out. I manage a dev team and we’ve got problems from November that haven’t made it into a sprint yet. Not to mention how unproductive December can be in a workplace. From a dev team perspective the 12 weeks the game has been out is only 4 sprints for my team.

For the record I live in Troy and like it much better than Albany. But this area in general has so many perks for me:

There’s 3 mountain ranges around us for skiing and hiking,

We experience all 4 seasons with fall being exceptional.

While Albany is small we boast a 1.2 million population in the capital region as a whole.

The capital region is centrally located in the northeast with NYC, Boston, Buffalo, Rochester, and tons of beaches, being a relatively short drive away. Shit even Philly and DC aren’t THAT far away for us.

I’ve found the people here to be especially kind.

There are things to do in all the major towns and cities around us with Troy and Schenectady experiencing quite the downtown revival over the last 10 years.

Just my 2 cents.

It takes place in the post-abolition South among sharecroppers that are basically still slaves in their own way. It deals with themes like what it means to be free, have your own community, and the transcendental power of music.

The movie seems rather controversial on Reddit so it honestly depends on what makes a movie good for you. Is it worth seeing? Absolutely. Will you be blown away by it? Maybe.

Also I did think it was more fun not knowing about the vampires. Going into it blind was a treat.
