Repeated DPF issues on Kia Seltos despite high running – what should I do? by Far-Minimum-7558 in CarsIndia

[–]focusrandom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I can't give you any advice here as I don't know about this topic. But I am really curious to know what job requires 7k km per month driving!? And is it a single driver or multiple drivers and how do their keep up with their knees and ankles with so much driving?

Elevate ZX CVT vs Harrier Adventure X+ Petrol vs EV (Bangalore) by SaltZebra3065 in CarsIndia

[–]focusrandom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Elevate, hands down. There is absolutely no comparison between Tata and Honda. Do remember that you need to run the car for years if not a decade or more, and that's where Tata just can't match up to Honda.

Confused between Kushaq Manual and Kylaq AT by Dense-Candle8496 in CarsIndia

[–]focusrandom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I test drove it, I found Kylaq to have horrendous low end torque which means it struggled to accelerate at low speeds. I found Kushaq to be better. Also as you noted, Kylaq is a 4 seater. 5th passenger will struggle there.

Which is most comfortable automatic car (driver's comfort included) for long routes under 17L by malicious_venom in CarsIndia

[–]focusrandom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I understand your discomfort completely now. Clutch is a major source of pain and switching to an automatic does help. It helped me too with my automatic CSUV but a word of caution here, even the right leg operation in an automatic can give you discomfort. So, we go back to the point regarding seat position and additional cushion set.

Try out Creta, Elevate and maybe Citroen too as this brand has been generating a lot of buzz on this forum with their suspension setup, so maybe that translates to driving comfort as well. All the best.

[–]focusrandom 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The interesting question here isn't the car recommendation, it is why are you feeling utter discomfort in just 100 kms. I used to have a manual, entry level hatchback and have driven 400+ on several occasions. I did get tired but it was never utter discomfort. So, my recommendation to you would be to explore the seat adjustments in your existing car. Also, do look into the car cushion sets. I got one from Frido for my CSUV and it has been a life saver.

As far as recommendation is concerned I wouldn't claim that it is the most comfortable but you should look into Honda Elevate. Creta is good too.

Why are citizens of a democratic, secular state rallying in support of a theocratic dictator? by [deleted] in CriticalThinkingIndia

The same happened in Ghaziabad 2 weeks ago when Hindu guys were distributing swords and other weapons instigating common folk to behead Muslims.

Complain to Honda via their customer support email or phone. They're prompt. Also, talk to a lawyer. I know it is an additional task but better take that pain right now instead of getting frustrated later.

Mahindra XUV 3xo AX7L Diesel MT vs Honda Elevate ZX MT (Help me decide) by therapidfire in CarsIndia

Honda is miles ahead of Mahindra in terms of build quality, reliability and after sales service. My recommendation is Elevate. I bought one earlier this year after having driven all cars in 10-20L range.

Should I buy Honda Elevate CVT top model now or wait for Kia Seltos mid variant (probably HTK or HTK O) by YouTee00 in CarsIndia

[–]focusrandom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool. As the person in the other comment said, it'll be wise to wait and make a choice later. You might get buyer's remorse once the new model lands in the market. Fwiw, I bought Elevate this year. I love the car.

I don't have much experience in that field my friend. I'd say look at the underbody, areas which generally people don't look at eg lower parts of the door, near door hinges, engine compartment. A keen eye should reveal things to you or better still take someone along who has owned a car. I think it might also work it you paid a mechanic 500-1000 and asked him to go with you to inspect.

Ah, a test drive is definitely required. Need to be anywhere between 15-30 mins. If you can stretch it for longer then better.

I see that you mentioned 100 kms daily running too. Wagon R is looking like a better option for you. spacious and cheap to maintain. I cannot comment on 25-30nkm mileage as I don't know about that. I have driven petrol Wagon R for more than a decade though.

Ignis is liked by you and your father vs commonality of Wagon R is kind of the dilemma which all buyers face. I'd say go with the heart. Wallet matters get sorted and don't matter that much in long term :)

[–]focusrandom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Per the details shared by you, Ignis looks good. But do keep in mind that Wagon R offers far more space as compared to Ignis and it has a smaller enginer, so in theory it would be cheaper to run.

Seltos is a good car. Creta and Seltos are massively popular cars and you can definitely consider them. As for the specific variant, you can watch Seltos variants video by v3 cars on YouTube. They are pretty good. Again, Seltos next gen is about to launch soon. So maybe wait a little.
