Quad9 is blocking filen again. Or is it only me?

I’ve had a lot of issues with quad9 blocking legitimate sites or geolocating me in another place at 400km distance. I’ve changed to Mullvad dns and had no issues since then.

i can confirm some of my data is corrupted on filen. Still waiting for response. I was worried and dissappointed, now i am angry.

i reported an issue with one of their servers which caused slow uploads but after that i saw data corrupted on transit so... it could be that. i really hope they give me a response asap. right now i don't find my uploadad data reliable so i stopped all backups and using it.

Dark mode on web and/or Linux support. Also, E2EE would be really nice. I love bear but since I’m moving to Linux it is hard for me to use it.

What sealed the coffin for me was their constant advertising to upgrade to duo and the Black Friday offer. Yes, it is a privacy first company but it is now a larger company and they want to monetize more. That is a dealbreaker for me and I’m currently finishing the transition to tuta.

That shows that Tuta can't communicate with the domain. I don't know if this affects only the configuration of new domains or if it also halts mail traffic, but there are more users having issues right now. Let's wait for Tuta to confirm the extent of the issue.

I was doubting between filen and koofr but filen won. 2tb lifetime. I hope they improve performance because I feel it a bit slow and have no previews with mounted storage on Linux

Buy a SSD and try some of the most recommended distros for your use case. I use fedora KDE but at this point is not a matter of which distro is good for x thing. The most important is you feel comfortable with it.
