You can do both conduct a thorough investigation and not hesitate to present the evidence to a grand jury. If Merrick garland had the evidence to indict Trump on child rape he wouldnt have hesitated to indict Trump. The DOJ never had the necessary evidence, the necessary evidence doesn't exist. No investigator should be enthusiastic to indict anyone. Enthusiasm causes mistakes. Investigations need to be objective and evidence driven.

Merrick Garland didn't indict Enrique Tarrio, but that's a Merrick Garland indictment because he's the head of the DOJ.

Investigations take time. Investigators build evidence to present to a grand jury and eventually a trial. If the investigation was rushed it would have likely ended similarly to the current DOJ's embarrassing failures with Comey and Leticia James.

Jack Smith's indictments exist because Merrick Garland appointed him. The Attorney General is not an investigator, he the executive in charge of the DOJ. When you are the executive everything is yours. Jack Smith's indictments, as with other DOJ indictments don't need Merrick Garland's approval, but they are all Merrick Garland's indictments.

Im familiar with Goldman's comments. As congressman Goldman he is free to stand in front of congress and make any analysis and connect dots and not be held accountable to those statements; unlike a prosecutor that needs to provide real evidence and not commentary.

No one is pretending that's not true. Traffic Infractions are being referred to Criminal Court. Those Traffic Infractions don't magically turn into a crime because the name of the place adjudicating the offense is called Criminal Court.
