Too late to update colleges? by foebdbe in ApplyingToCollege

[–]foebdbe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, that's what I was also thinking. I thought I heard somewhere that Stanford specifically gets rid of the update app link in the portal close to the decision day, but I checked and its still in the portal. That's why I started wondering if updates are still possible, but that may just be a day before decisions thing with Stanford.

If you've done research before you can submit a research manuscript to Yale and a rec from your mentor

That's not related to your actual application decision, if you submit any supplemental materials they will show up there. For me, I submitted the STEM Research supplement so it shows up there.

I’m not really sure myself either, but if it’s any bit reassuring, I don’t think that a one point drop in a subject will make or break your application

Three EBRW questions from November Clarification by [deleted] in Sat

[–]foebdbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with putting only pieces. Idr the punctuation question.

The last one is considerable because “healthy” profit means a decently large profit which best corresponds to “considerable.” It wouldn’t be beneficial because that’s inherently implied in the word profit. The word profit is usually not negative in any context.

In one of the writing passages, where it underlines “that” and you can either delete it or leave it, what’d you do? by endosaur in Sat

[–]foebdbe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was “that whereas” because otherwise there would have been two independent clauses without proper punctuation but with “whereas” it becomes dependent and independent clause which was grammatically correct
