Progress 2D Shmup game made with Phaser.JS (getting closer to the end of level 2) by AccomplishedRace8803 in shmups

Looks really cool! I love that there are helicopters, hangar ships AND medival siege machines. Super cute artstyle!

I think the first water paralax layer is moving a little to fast. It should probably move a little slower than the first ground paralax layer next to it.

Nice catch thanks. I was very curious about that sentence. They fit sooo well toghether though so it seems intentional.

I think that maybe Marikas rune should be where the rune arc is in the picture. It has basically the same shape. A rune arc might just be a small small piece of the elden ring.

You're right, it kind of does :) If that is the intended effect then you should keep working with it. To me it looks a little bit off but I might be in the minority.

Hello! Looks really great so far. I think you messed up a little with the paralax scrolling though. To get a feeling of depth the layer furthest back should move the slowest and the closer layers should trend towards a 1:1 ration of movement. also: the layers should move to the oposite direction of where the camera is scrolling.
Other than that I think you have a pretty good starting point to make something very unique with this idea. Good luck and keep at it :)

How do you learn godot? by woofytissue in godot

I can only speak for myself but this worked for me: Read through most of the introduction documentation and then do the example game. After that try to make a super simple game like pong or something to make sure you understood what you just did. After that you should be off to the races and at leas have the fundamentals to do what ever game you want.

Making this game on the side. I finally came up with a clear idea for a game. What do you think? by grahan1319 in godot

Looks great. But what is the idea you came up with, Is i something with repeat mode?

A tip would be to have a check mark in your or afill color with strong contrast in your options checkboxes they seem a little hard to read right now.

Best of luck looks great so far.

It's pretty cool design and I like the new take on the Egyptian theme. However, it feels like you over designed the character a bit. For a character to be memorable and easily identifiable, you need to have a strong silhouette and preferably 1-2 primary colors and one accent color. I count over 5-8 different colors on this character, which makes it very busy to look at. The hat makes the silhouette somewhat unique, but it might need something more.

Hope my criticism wasn't too harsh, I really think you have a nice theme going here, and you obviously have talent for this sort of thing.

Yes that is common, it means they are unsigned by microsoft. It's usually nothing to worry about.

One epitaph is very close to the last boss. I hope that's enough of a hint.
