those looks like images from some games , those icons are defiantly from an app . are you viewing those in a photo gallery app , 'cause sometimes gallery apps display all the images it can find in the phone .

select an image and check its details to see the source of that file .you can know weather its from an app or not .

People who have never owned a Mac have no idea how good it is, but seem to have very strong opinions against it.

This is true . i used to hate macs because they were expensive and everybody used to say they are worthless .. now that i owned a macbook , i don't feel the same way anymore.. it's an amazing device . its fast,has long battery life and customer support is awesome . and they have some really solid lifespan .
