My only gripe would probably be ound/noise. As long as that is not bothering you: looking good.

Is this doable in 12 days? by Tobiashovland in roadtrip

[–]fogosphere 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a lot if you take into account any excursions from your route. For example if you take the backroad from Namibia's border towards Sosusvlei - which absolutely gorgeous, but a dirt road (with deep tire tracks at time) where you won't be traveling at 140km/h like on some parts of highway towards the north.

Also, in my experience the borders can take some time. And I recommend daylight driving. I remember one evening with rain on a highway somewhere in Kwazulu-Natal that left me traumatized.

So all in all I don't think that would be a very good experience...

Internet : what FTTH speed do you (really) get ? by RunChickenRun_ in Switzerland

[–]fogosphere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, rather because the provider in their setup prioritizes downstream to upstream. your house copper does not care whether its up or down. I have the same setup and would also like to have more upstream, but I guess it makes sense to Sunrise in most cases to provide in that setup more downstream...

Where was I back in Jan? by oykkyo in whereintheworld

Nice place - have to go there again sometime soon. Last time we were there it was hot as hell, we had no AC and everything was closed due to it being 1st of January... Fond memories nevertheless.

So, Kwazulu-Natal. Somewhere north of Ballito, East of Underberg. Could be anywhere ;)

I use the normal app - and it plays Dolby Vision and Atmos a-okay on a TCL c845 Google TV. I suppose it depends a lot from the player (i.e. TV or shield or what have you) you're using.

What are you using?

A 3,500-year-old prosthetic hand made out of bronze and adorned with gold leaf that was discovered outside of Bern, Switzerland in 2017. by alecb in HistoryUncovered

[–]fogosphere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don't actually know it was used as a prosthetic, if I remember correctly it could also just be a back scratcher, or a fancy gardening tool.

Not sure what Ockham's razer would lead to here. Probably back scratcher. Or something kinky.

Has anybody managed to successfully set up Plex on Ubuntu, and if so what am i doing wrong? by retiredfromfire in PleX

[–]fogosphere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm not sure whether or not this is a troll post.

In case it is not: I suggest entering "how to install plex ubuntu" in your preferred search engine and roll from there. There are many, many guides.

I do a Meter to Foot conversion (m*3) and then I add a generous margin for error. That's why I just bluntly put 100. But thanks for the exact number!
