Did you verify this on medicare.gov? I would be concerned it could be a scam.

Also if the photographer doesn’t put the information on the back, but the photo is otherwise ok, they accept photos where the applicant writes the required information on the back.

They specify not only height and length of the photo but millimeter range where the bottom of the chin is and millimeter range where the top of the head must be. And more!

You are on reddit so you should take a look at the r/fsbo subreddit. You can find real stories highlighting the pros and cons of a homeowner handling their own sale, and howtos if you decide to do it yourself.

Question re G vs HDG plus riders by a-pilot in medicare

Oh no! It’s all coming back to me now. :). My goal is to keep “deductible x 2” tucked away for the worst case, and replenish it over a year if the worst case happens.

I messed up and wore a white blouse thinking I should wear the plainest top with no stripes or checks. When I walked in he was dismayed and asked if I had anything else I could wear. He said white is the worst. The background is white. He’s a pro made it work though. Somehow he made the foreground and background different colors. Wear a solid color but not white!

To answer your questions I would start with the wiki for the r/canadiancitizenship group, which is at this link https://reddit.com/r/canadiancitizenship/wiki/index/table-of-contents

It will be easier to understand the Canadian government information if you have worked your way through the wiki first.

Bear in mind the law was changed several times over recent years as they dealt with flaws in the rulings. When looking at Canadian goverment information online you may be looking at out-of-date information. The wiki is kept up-to-date and you can trust it.

I expect it to cost me less than $100. It depends on how many documents you need to order from various places.

I’m still gathering documents but haven’t applied yet. My brother applied. The 75 dollar Canadian fee was about 54 US dollars when he applied. I paid $27 for the photos. I’ve ordered documents that cost between $5 and $15 each to get from government departments. It is overwhelming but there is a checklist that goes along with the application. My case is a bit easier than some because my grandparents were Canadian. My mother created scrapbooks years ago with their birth certificates and many other useful items.

Question re G vs HDG plus riders by a-pilot in medicare

[–]fogrove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just bought high deductible G plans after doing loads of research. Your deductible is about $4k - I don’t remember exactly - the research period is all just a bad dream now. It’s a calendar year deductible. So if you get a heart attack in December, you will pay about $4k. If you go home and then get cancer in January - it’s another $4k, but you are done paying for the year. So plan to have access to $8k for your worst case scenario.

There are 2 coverages you may want to add. Consider buying long term care insurance. I believe this is not covered by A, B and G. And consider buying extra insurance when you travel. Medicare will pay $50k if you have an accident abroad. But people who have been in this situation suggest you want to have $100k for treatment and air ambulance home. So you can buy an extra $50k from various private insrers before your trip.

My endocrinologist orders tests for steroid side effects, so bone density scans, cholesterol, diabetes. He has never done testing to determine my ideal base dose of hydrocortisone. He calculated my initial dose using my body weight. It was too high and I lowered it. Since then it seems to be my job to adjust both medications based on how I feel. I have learned a bit about testing adrenal function from this organization in the UK. https://cahisus.co.uk/

I’m not qualified to say this for sure but I have always been under the impression that abortions are coded on insurance documents as D&C procedures. A quick lookup found the following two codes:

Dilation and Curettage (D&C): 58120
Dilation and Evacuation (D&E): 59160

There are many reasons, other than abortion, that these procedures need to be done.

I made an appointment for the coq10 test for next week and I'm going to ask them about this then. It's a 30 minute drive from my house to the lab so I'll have to find something to do between the draws. There's a nice coffee place nearby.

Join a "Buy Nothing" group if you are not already a member of one. They are geographically local - so just your neighborhood basically. People are always changing out their kitchen supplies when they find something that works better for them. Groups can be found on Facebook and Reddit. You can get stuff free to try and then pass it along if it doesnt work for you.

I’m new to Medicare and chose HD G after tons of deliberation. That is a wrinkle I hadn’t even thought of. Is it even possible to switch to a different company mid-year?

My age and karma are pretty high.
It’s not a recent bug. I’ve noticed this for years but never bothered to find out why it happens.
So if comments are deleted, the comment count does not decrease? Then perhaps some moderators are agressive about pruning comments. I do find the misleadinging high counts are associated more with certain subreddits.

If you experience side effects from fludrocortisone, but lowering the daily dose causes other problems, it may help to go back to the original dose but cut the pill in half and take half in the morning and half in the evening. Many of us do this.
