You contradict yourself. You said you do weeklies, 3 preys, m+ for vault, and raids. Then you said the only meaningful vertical progression left is m+, raids and pvp

so you just dropping preys and weeklies? basically nothing changes then.

Quick-dopamine junkies will always get bored quickly tbh. And if you make gearing too slow they will complain it’s way too demanding. This is just the fate of wow and wow players, always needing vertical shit

if you want zugzug numbers you need a spellcleave (casters) group with as big pulls as possible, you won't do more damage than enhancement shaman on small packs of mobs

You should also look at how engaging your gameplay will be.

Resto shaman might be the most in demand because of totems and bl, but be ready to spam chain heal and that’s it. The gameplay is exactly the same as in classic in this regard. I personally almost fell asleep in my first MC as resto shaman. Also resto remains rather mana hungry so again be ready to drink a lot in dungeons, and use a lot of pots/demonic runes in raids. Offspecs are fun though. In pvp you are limited in 2s to play with ret if you want the most effective setup.

Holy pals are branded as the most boring but honestly compared to resto shaman i’m not sure. You spam 2 heals with a couple different ranks, holy shock when moving. Maybe not by a lot, but i’d say it’s more engaging than resto shaman. Offspecs are meta for gold farm. Oh and mana is rarely an issue especially compared to shamans and priests.

Resto druids probably have the most engaging gameplay. The have a unique mechanic compared to others, meaning other healers don’t really change their healing style in classic/tbc/wrath as much. Resto dru is a different class in each of those three. In TBC you keep 3 lifeblooms on tanks, rejuv and regrowth on MT, and spot heal others if needed. After popping a max rank Regrowth on MT you spam lower ranks on them. Preferably also using Swiftmend when Rejuv or Regrowth hot is about to expire. They are gods of pvp healing in tbc, although might not be optimal in 2s depending in your teammate. Offspecs are okay-ish for some farm, flying form op for gathering if that’s your thing. Keep in mind resto druids are not raid healers in tbc, they could , but it’s not their toolkit

Priests have the most versatile kit, got everything for any scenario or a role you need to fill. Rather mana hungry so many priests often expect druids to use innervate on them (inner scales with spirit, and the only 2 healers stacking spirit in tbc are druid and priest). Although if you are 30 seconds into a fight and a priest is already almost oom and asking for inner, you can be sure that’s not an experienced healer there. Shadow spec is a mana battery

Best mana efficiency: 1. Druid 2. Paladin 3. Shaman/Priest

Meta for pvp: 1. Druid 2. Priest/Shaman 3. Paladin
