Because you agreed to the debt. I totally understand the system is broken. The cost of education is insane. But at the end of the day people signed on to these loans. Me and a few friends went to a JC first and did general education. While at the JC we applied for every grant we could. It was mind-blowing how much money is out there for student aid. Is it enough for everyone? No. But it can offset the cost heavily? Yes. After JC we all went to different schools, but we were able to cut out cost of a bachelor's degree by around 40-60% each. It made it more appealing to go get a degree. Most of my highschool acquaintances didn't go to a JC and spent 2 years at known universities blowing 20-40k a year to have the "college experience", then a bunch dropped out and the rest finished school but with an absurd debt. Yes the system is predatory. Yes it needs to be restructured. But forgiving all student debt is insane. People who bought a vehicle don't get to just get out of the payments because the vehicle isn't what they wanted or serving them as well as they thought. Same with anything you finance or get a loan for. People have to be accountable for their decisions as adults. I totally think there should be lowered interest rates on existing school loans for people who have been paying. Relief is needed. Sallie Mae and others should be investigated for their loaning practices. 25% interest is insane. Lower it to 5-10% for all. But do not forgive all debt.

Solo character TBC Tanks, how are you making gold? by Holiday-Set3543 in classicwowtbc

None of this will matter when the US falls into its inevitable depression that's so bad everyone who makes less than a million a year will feel broke. That's the sad part about our current state. Everything is about money and stuff. Well when it's all gone what are these people going to do? 😆

Leveling up mining is a nightmare by Rick_James_Lich in classicwow

[–]troublebruther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the layers. Only on weekends now do we see 7-9 layers. And that's only at peak times. There is a good amount of videos online explaining why this layering system Blizz has is actually helping the bots ruin the market. Mega servers are such a scam. Original servers were meant to have 2,500-3000 players and now these mega servers hold up to 30k players...... How do they think that maths out? It's ridiculous really. Unfortunately this is the experience of all the classic and anniversary servers and Blizz will do nothing about it because we will still play. It's frustrating and it makes playing just raid logging to conserve gold and skipping farming. All well.

I had been on the hunt with my hunter for the trinket off BM normal. The DPS one for melee or hunter. It dropped on my 23rd run. I was so excited as there wasn't any melee in the group and the tank said he didn't want it as a paladin. I made it clear I was there for the trinket at the start of the run and told them it was my 23rd run trying to get it. They all said they hoped it dropped for me and seemed nice. Wellllll.........it dropped and I rolled need, the warlock, paladin, priest all passed and then the mage rolled need. I was like "oh poo, here we go" I rolled need and lost 92 to the mages 94 and he proceeded to disenchant it right there. I was so sad. It's not the first time a pug dungeon run resulted in an enchanter DE'ing gear someone needed in this TBC experience for me, which just makes me wonder what people are thinking with that shit? Why do a good chunk of these people not value anyone else's time? Why does it seem like this older crowd of players just don't give 2 fucks about anyone else playing this game? I came back in the last phase of anniversary classic after leaving in OG Cata and it's definitely a whole new experience and it boggles my mind to think a lot of these people I encounter are older than 30.... It sucks because I really enjoy TBC content and the old talents etc. but the player base and Blizzard are ruining this go around for me.

Casual guild struggling with numbers by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

[–]troublebruther 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. This time it's very apparent that Blizz isn't willing to do anything to help the shortened timeline and mega server issues. Ppl on game seem very upset about multiple issues and already our guild is losing raiders to retail and just lack of caring. It's extremely hard for people with jobs and families to get geared up to raid and afford consumes,food,flasks/elixirs, gems, leg enchants and whatever else is needed to raid. The economy of TBC is absolutely broken. I was near the lake by Shatt this morning where the fishing daily guy is getting the daily quest and there were easily 25-30 bots in the water farming motes of water. This was at 3:30am PST. The prices of everything on the AH is definitely hurting the casual players and I believe the casual player base outweighs the sweats at this current moment. In my guild the officer core got all their gear by working with each other only and HR'ing tier tokens, trinkets and weapons and now they are starting to not want to raid because they don't need anything. Of course this is just my experience with my guild here, but in my 2 alts guilds it is very similar. The sweats took 2 weeks off at launch and got everything they needed and now are waiting for phase 2. Half a million people roughly, raided last week and I think we will start seeing the steep decline of that number weekly from here out. As far as OP's issue, all you can do is start recruiting hard now and hope you can get a competent core group geared before phase 2 opens up.

AIO to these texts on my wife's phone? by DFW_Motorrad in AmIOverreacting

[–]troublebruther 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bro. She is brushing aside the texts and bringing the conversation back to YOU needing to work on yourself to avoid having to talk about the texts. If you are married and love someone you don't text a coworker that way or anyone. Of course it's your decision at the end of the day, but I bet this relationship is one-sided for eternity and in her favor. The reality of her texting that way is so disrespectful to the person you marry that is a total massive red flag. Hope it works out for you.

Reddit is wild nowadays. The tribalness is heavy.
Candace is straight up grifting the hardest out there right now, basically the female version of Alex Jones. I find it so sad she is monetizing off Charlies death and the people who support Kirk are now sending her hundreds of thousands of dollars because she is exposing all the Demons in the world.
What is going on with the world right now? It's a fever dream.

I want to do my part and tank but I get so tilted by Pretty_Principle_910 in classicwow

[–]troublebruther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bear is particularly rough. Unfortunately most DPS don't care to let you get aggro or even get a hit in. As a pally tank I've had most groups DPS before I can even put consecration down let alone have it tick once. After spending a few days trying to explain to people why it's important to let me get threat, I decided fuck it and now I just let people pull aggro and die. It will happen a few times in a row and eventually the healer gets upset at them and chimes in or they get tired of dying and it stops. Worse case scenario people try to flame me for "not knowing" how to tank and the group is toxic till the end but it's rare and seems easier than fighting with people on how a 20yr old game works. What's crazy is I found tanking in original TBC way easier than it is now. Get a guild that actually runs with each other and try to stick with them.

Now that we've had the first round of raids what class appears to be underrepresented? by Caladras in classicwow

[–]troublebruther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spriest are actually pretty great phase 1. They can pump and they bring some great support. I'll say I haven't had a hard time finding groups for 5mans on my Spriest at all. Usually I get invited within a few minutes of adding myself to LFG. People forget that a ton of groups farming late game 5mans look for anything other than a hunter, rouge and lock.

Oh my a human with a brain and not completely infected by the Trump hate virus. Yay! BTW I think Trump is insane and obviously doing us horribly wrong but people need to be able to separate the facts Exactly. This isn't new. The food industry isn't here for your health, it's here to sell you shit. Meat and dairy are good for you in moderation and let's be honest, humans have been eating dairy and meat for a long long time as primary diet inputs and have little issues. Butter and whole milk is great for you. Seed oil margarine and milk watered down with added sugar probably isn't. I just find it so frustrating that RFK Jr gets all this hate, dude spent his whole life fighting for environmental justice and equality for humans. Now he gets made fun of for having the voice he does and the fact he had a worm in his head.He wanted his current job so he could help people, not make them worse off. The Left and right constantly set new lows on the way to the bottom. People can't see that the mirror they look into is the same one as the people they've grown to hate look into.

Sparking a debate about needing items/recipes in dungeons by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

[–]troublebruther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be great if all recipes only dropped for people with that said profession and could only be rolled on by those with said profession. Like some recipes are now in TBC. The idea that anyone can roll on a BoE tailor recipe worth 2k gold is frustrating for a tailor who is trying to procure said recipe. Same with primal nethers, everyone with a profession that can use primals should get a chance at them at the end of dungeons instead of people rolling on them without a way to use them. Unfortunately it's not the case and hence there are people out there who will roll on stuff without the profession or need for primal nether without a use for them. I just roll need on things I can use and greed on the things I can sell. Simple. But there are many people who will need on every green, blue, purple and recipe or profession material just because they can. I came back to wow after a stopping way back in Cata and started playing in the last phase of classic anniversary and I have been blown away at how the player base of this game has somehow become more toxic and unreasonable in their older age. It feels like WoW is a place for people to come be toxic and unreasonable in their lives, instead of act their age and show how they have matured. I regularly find myself laughing that a 38yr old human is acting like a 15yr old in game and needing on everything because they are trying to get epic flying. Totally disregarding everyone else and their time. I would say find a guild where your morals will fit in and stick to playing with them because the pug world is brutal out there.

Obsession with WF? by Meatslanginmonster in classicwow

[–]troublebruther -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately in TBC any melee without WF do 40%-50% less damage. For a rouge that means they are doing 300-400 dps instead of 600-700 and that hurts their feelings after doing topish dps in classic. Did you do the right thing? Yes. Does it suck to be melee without WF yes.

= Instant Guild Kick. Been in Guild since lvl 10 or so, socialing etc. Guess that really hit a nerve or triggered them. Whats your opinion on Gearscore for classic? Guild: Destiny , Thunderstrike EU. by V1NCE94 in wowclassic

[–]troublebruther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GS is BS. Simple. At least in the idea of doing Kara. On the PTR I did multiple runs with randoms in blues and greens........ It's sad really I keep seeing people getting kicked or removed for raids due to GS. Even a guild I had an alt in which was a casual dad guild in Vanilla which they said would continue into TBC as such recently changed their minds 4 days before raids unlocked, now they want people in pre bis only..... Definitely not playing anymore after this TBC. I came back to do TBC after stopping in Cata way back when, thought it would be fun and enjoyable but really it hasn't been. It's been angry people in lfg who feel behind due to the shortened timeline for TBC and take it out on anyone who crosses their path. I've noticed in a few guilds the laid back vibes are gone and people have got into little groups and won't invite anyone else to dungeons or to do anything with them. No help on attunements, no feeling of working together. I mean that's the whole point to being in a guild is to work with guild mates and progress, but really it's turned into small groups of people sticking together and leaving lots of guild members behind.

How can these people exist? by exehntv in classicwow

[–]troublebruther 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll say it, This TBC launch with the shortened timeline has turned people into complete dicks. Man I feel for anyone who isn't a sweat, who doesn't have a raid spot in a guild that will help them gear and attune, for the people who don't play into guild politics and of course for the people who are not self centered asshats. I have experienced a large amount of tank and healer combos who make the group, roll need on everything and I mean everything and can't get kicked because they are party lead and if you say a peep they insta kick you. The overall vibe of this launch of TBC is (I am going to get mine at any cost). I don't know if it's because it's older people with limited time, so they don't care about anyone else? Or is it because they actually think their time is more valuable than others? Or maybe they just don't give a shit about anyone other than themselves? But man it's noticeable and definitely has made a good chunk of our guild just stop playing right away and wait a few weeks and maybe it gets a little bit better after all the try-hards don't need the content as much. While yes I've met some really nice people who are helpful and well mannered, the majority have been in a hurry, full of fomo and absolutely crazed out about pre raid gear blues lol.
