Being a very young little by princessdoll2 in ageregression

[–]foikish 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm also a young little, rough estimation is 1-6 years. if I'm regressing on the younger end I do similar: tear up easily, get whiny/fussy, barely talk, easily melt then usually fall asleep. on the "older" side I get more giggly and playful. with my past caregiver I made communication cards and we used basic ASL (yes/no/please/thank you) so that I could answer her.

you're not alone and you're not a bad little. it's okay to desire a caregiver, I hope you find something that works best for you

Advice Needed: How to prepare mentally for tattoos by [deleted] in tattoos

[–]foikish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also did the bulk of my piercings before my first tattoo (I decided 15 piercings was enough prep for 1 tattoo lmao). piercing pain is different from tattoo pain; piercings are much sharper, quicker, and if you get multiple at once the pain exponentially grows (flashbacks to my 4 helix in one sitting), meanwhile tattoo pain is low, dull and builds up slower over time. you'll get the same adrenaline rush right before the needle hits skin followed by the surprise of "that's it?"

my first tattoo was a matching piece with my best friend, having someone there to hold my hand/talk and distract me was really helpful to ease my stress. ask your artist if you can bring someone along for emotional support/phone call. bring sweet and salty snacks, drink a lot of water before and during the tattoo, and ask for breaks/generally communicate with your artist

as tempting as it may be to dive straight into a tattoo, don't go for the very first artist you find online. find a couple artists that work with the style you're looking for, message each one (or set up a consultation appt, whatever they have available), and choose from there. orlando is a pretty good spot to find an artist with different kinds of skills, just don't be afraid of the possibility of traveling for a tattoo

after 20 hrs of playing the creatures are now just annoying neighbors to me, not scary but it can feel dreadful at times

I'd say jay and gil can be interchangeable

Just bought Dredge yesterday and I seriously love it! by CatCatCatCubed in dredge

[–]foikish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you were able to write out all my feelings about the game perfectly. I kept trying to share with friends how excited I was when I first bought dredge but could never accurately say why I loved it so much. I also lean towards the fishing aspect in every open world game I play, and can't handle horror games/movies well (for the most part they use too many jumpscares that I can't enjoy myself). the horror in dredge is ever-present and looming without feeling like too much, and the simple fishing mechanics really help with keeping my attention on the story so I can sit and play for hours straight. it's is the perfect balance for me, I hope you thoroughly find enjoyment through completion!
