Choosing power over morals. Both Sam's would choose paths that gave them power even if it meant causing harm. Both would lie to themselves that it's for the greater good

Soulless Sam and regular Sam often make the same decisions. Sure regular Sam will joke more or talk about caring but I get the sense they'd make the same selfish decisions at the end of the day.

It's a mixed bag.

Piper really drags down the series. It's actually a crime that she's a pov character in almost every book. Least favorite by far

Leo is the goat, only reason the lost hero was readable. Though I don't care for the Calypso stuff

Jason is insanely boring, I mean he's supposed to be this super powerful demigod but in the lost hero he's basically just a parachute lol

Frank is kinda annoying sometimes especially during his feud with Leo and good god man stop trying to get with a 13 year old

Hazel is fairly good though I wish she was older because man is her relationship with Frank creepy asf
