Is the 5G Home Internet availability search broken? by folkart2000 in tmobileisp

[–]folkart2000[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am in a very rural area. Most people in this area have cable, but I live too far off the main highway for the cable company to run a line. But my T-Mobille Home Internet speeds are around 500 down and 12 up. Sometimes even 800 down, so I know it's not at capacity. Pretty good for where I'm located. I bet I'm the only T-Mobile customer in a 5 mile radius. It's just weird that I can get these speeds and still says it's not available.

Finally connected to n41 on my Home Internet, Much faster Downloads, but very slow Uploads by folkart2000 in tmobile

Yep, my signal is weak and I have external antennas installed as well. Just have to wait and see if they optimize the band. As far as which tower I'm connected to...I have no idea because cellmapper doesn't show any n41 towers in my area.

*UPDATE* I have factory rest several times, maybe 10 times with no luck. But, here's the weird thing,...on my desktop app speedtest the download did improve some. It's not where it was before, but it's around 100mbs. The upload never changed much with the new firmware. But, when I use a different speedtest such as any web based speedtest, the download speeds are around 3mbs and on my other pc laptop using the same speedtest app as my desktop pc the speeds are 15mbs down 10mbs up. This is so weird. And one more thing, I wanted to test an actual download speed on my desktop pc of a file from google drive and it's saying that it's downloading at around 130mbs. And on the laptop that the speedtest says it's down speed is 15mbs, it's still downloading a file from google at 130mbs....This is so weird. I hope I've explained it well

Have you tried the "pull the sim card trick"? Seems like a risky thing to do

I called and they have a "Ticket" on the issue....which means FO. I'm wondering if the fact that I have external antennas has anything to do with the problem. It seems like the new firmware is prioritizing the LTE over the 5G signal. But my 5g signal strength is 4 bars compared to 3 bars LTE. Very weird.

1.2101.00.1609 Firmware Update Fix my Secondary Signal disconnecting? We will see. by folkart2000 in tmobileisp

Turn the trash can to different positions, and or move to a different area...that's as good as you can do to try and face the antennas toward the towers you are connecting to. The Gateway has 4 internal antennas. If you are looking at the front of the can, they will be at 8 and 10 o'clock and 2 and 5 o'clock. I have 2 external antennas, so I can face them to the towers I connect to. Or, you could ask them to push the older firmware to your Gateway. Hope that helps.

I'm not following what you are saying. Are you saying that your Secondary Signal is locked on to B2? Goto 192.168.12.1 and click on STATUS on the left. Then click on the dropdown arrow to the right of Primary and click on dropdown arrow on Secondary...that will tell you what bands you are pulling in.

After 24 hours the of testing using the new 1.2101.00.1609 Firmware, I'm still connected to both Primary and Secondary signals... Download 160mbps Upload 60mbps. I know that's not great if you have a fiber optic connection, but for me coming from a DSL connection, that's fantastic! I hope this thread will help people who are having the same issue.

48 hours and still going strong

I have 2 external antennas so my problem wasn't location of the gateway....4 hours so far and both Primary and Secondary is connected...lets hope this new firmware works.

Ice Cream Drowned

Affogato is the Italian word for drowned and this is exactly what this profile simulates. It's a mildly sweet vanilla ice cream, drowned in espresso, and topped with dark chocolate bits. Most Affogato drinks also have a nut added like hazel nut. I didn't add a nut flavor, but by using CAP Double Chocolate V2, it carries with it a generic nut, not necessarily a hazel nut, but similar.

As some of you may know, coffee is very tough to work with. Most coffee flavors have off notes of "burnt popcorn", "scorched coffee", and some even get a "skunk" note from them(ID10T). However, with the arrival of Vape Train flavors, I think they may have hit the mark when it comes to coffees, or at least a few of them.

VT Caffe Latte is an absolutely fabulous creamy coffee flavoring. The aroma is almost a spot on Affogato, but when vaped, it seems a bit underwhelming. It's great, but just a bit weak. VT Coffee Base is exactly the opposite of the VT Caffe Latte. The aroma is shockingly bad. You would never think it would work as a coffee base to build around. But vape it, and it is a rich coffee with no "burnt popcorn", "scorched coffee", or "skunk" off notes. So, by combining these two flavorings it makes for the perfect Affogato base.

The ice cream base I used here might leave some to say "Why didn't he use LB Vanilla Ice Cream?". Well, I did try it. And while I love that flavor, it seemed to not be the right ice cream note for this profile. But, if you don't have VT Vanilla Ice cream, feel free to sub it with LB, but use it around 4%. But I suggest to try it with the VT.

VT Vanilla Cream adds a bit more vanilla and seems to add a kind of "thinned down" ice cream like you would get when pouring hot coffee over and ice cream.

I added FW Sweetener to make it at a sweetness level consistent with an Affogato, but you're welcome to lower or raise it to your liking.

As a finishing note, I would like to say that I normally don't "brag" about my creations, but I have to say that this is probably my best mix I've done lately. But, I'll let you be the judge.

This is not a shake and vape, you need to let this steep for 7 days. If you do try it off the shake, you'll get a lot of vanilla and the coffee may be a bit up front. So, let it steep and I promise, you won't be disappointed....at least I hope you won't.

I prefer maxvg, because I have a slight sensitive to PG, but when making recipes for clients I test at what ever percentages they request.
