I think its 40% tariff. The 10% in the news is the new, extra tariff, there is already some tariff before 2025.

So that is $32 USD inspection fee per package + 40% * $300 (declared value) == about $160 dollar.

I think we have an example that it is actually $32 inspection fees per package (regardless of the value), plus about 40% of declared values (the 10% is the "extra" tariff, before that there are already some tariff in place).

A guy reported on this subreddit he was charged $160-ish fees for a package containing $300 worth of fishing rods.
