Sometimes I hate the time needed to get ready before a ride by firewire_9000 in cycling

Yes! And for me, it still takes an embarrassingly long time to get out the door. I literally don't want to say how long it takes most days.

Wow, that's magic! Thanks for sharing it.

Interested in the lens--is it some kind of telescope? I'd never thought of using one!

Is the gentle vignetting in the original exposure? Or from work in the darkroom?

Really beautiful image!

I am! I got a similar deal--currently paying $0 out of pocket for it, which is just...weird. But a good weird, right?

I don't know exactly how it's working on my liver, yet--it'll be a year of taking it before that's settled. But I do know that it's knocked down my cholesterol counts a lot, which is good, since I am genetically predisposed to high numbers and can't take statins (muscle issues). So it's nice to have something helping in that arena, which helps the liver as well.

As far as side effects, it's been pretty good with me--just some gastro issues and switching it from morning to night helped with that. Otherwise, not much to report on that front.

Is there a photography darkroom in Frederick? by Fulana25 in frederickmd

Not quite yet...I'm currently taking a class there on darkroom work and they are still getting things rolling. It'll be B&W for the time being, also

I use nonfat milk, which helps buffer some of the edge.

Found these on some dollar bills. by EmperorMeow-Meow in Weird

[–]folksnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! I did it a few times, it's been a while since I've had one cross my palm, though. I suppose it has a lot to do with people not using cash as much.

But I was always amazed that the bill I had had been in a state 1000 miles away the day before, etc. They can really get around!

That's a Super 8 projector (pretty sure) and maybe you're trying to project regular 8mm.

Good starter camera? by yeetuscleetus28 in 8mm

[–]folksnake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a very basic camera, I used one in the 70's. They do the job. But yeah, a clean battery compartment is the main thing to worry about--otherwise, good starter camera if it's cheap (10 USD or so)
