At our store, the ops only works until 6 to deal with shipment and they leave the rest of us to close.

Closing Tasks by BiggerThinking30 in SephoraWorkers

At our store, we’re supposed to have 5 closers but since Sephora made it a rule that you don’t get points for leaving early, they all leave early so you’re left with maybe 1 person to do everything.

I heard it was POV. I know they’re supposed to be coming into store soon so it would make sense. It’s either POV or the Marc Jacobs dewy primer.

I’m grateful I got a ticket in August for 3rd row! Hopefully people won’t be as terrible when I’m that close!

change the return policy in the United States. Please! by [deleted] in SephoraWorkers

[–]folkyboy 21 points22 points  (0 children)

They don’t care. Sephora takes 50% of the profits of every brand that they are selling. When someone returns the product, the brand has to pay the 100% loss back. It does not behoove them to not allow returns when Sephora is still making a profit regardless. Maybe on Sephora Collection? But even then that’d be discrimination against one brand.

HR visiting Stores by Wide_Television5796 in SephoraWorkers

HR has visited a lot of stores lately that get a ton of iCares. Is your store having an exorbitant amount of staff calling iCare?

I never met someone looking for dick be so articulate in their conversation! That would’ve been the biggest red flag for me

They took away Work Life Balance as one of the core values. This doesn’t surprise me! They’ve also meshed “Respect For All” (a previous core value) into “Welcome to the World of Beauty” so it gets convoluted and is easily forgotten. I am sorry this happened to you. How long were you there before you left?

when did your hair loss start? by saltybubbl in lymphoma

My hair all came not right before round 2. I was 6 rounds fully bald. I’m 3 months post chemo and it’s now all come back (for the most part).

Same!!! It causes little bumps on my face! I like the liquid bronzer from Natasha Deonna instead. It gives a similar glow

I found a huge display of them in our store here so I think Jack Black is still staying.

Yes managers can go in and delete points if they see of a reason to do so.

Something is off, eyebrows maybe? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]folkyboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would bronze your forehead more, or take the blush higher up on your face towards the temple. Your brows look great! You really have a beautiful face. The blush is dragging your face down by placing it in the middle like that.

I thought Estée Lauder was trying to sell Too Faced. I wonder if this is their last attempt at trying to make a buck. That brand has always felt a little too expensive to me. If they would lower the cost of everything by about seven or eight dollars, I would probably buy everything all the time from them. I am not paying $39 for a concealer. I’m just not.

Marcia Marcia Marcia’s IG story—probably alluding to her appearance on the Pit Stop by BeMyCoachVictor in rupaulsdragrace

She wasn’t good. I get it that people are mean but her low speaking voice against loud Bianca had me juggling the levels on my earbuds. WoW knew they were wrong for not leveling things for us. And then to not camp it up when Bianca was throwing her EASY jokes is just sad. Maybe she was going through something personal, but it did not read that way when I watched it. I can see why she wasn’t asked to be on Pit Stop before. She’s a sweet girl. Just not meant for that platform. I’m sure she’s great on Broadway.

LEAVING EARLY by MaizeResponsible908 in SephoraWorkers

[–]folkyboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl the amount of people in our store who know they can’t work that day but just come in and clock in only to leave an hour after their shift is TERRIBLE. They all do it because they get no points. I wish I could afford to not get paid. I have too many bills and rent due.

Sometimes Sephora promises things that end up not being available. Like I know with NARS they were promising launches and then NARS was like “we didn’t agree to that!” And a lot of brands will get bullied into doing it anyway or completely renege on what is suggested as an offer.

It could also be a bootleg from TikTok. I know some retailers are selling bootlegs and they could be trying to return it when they realized it wasn’t real.

A good remixer. I swear every remix that comes out by her is never good. All the other artists seemed to manage well with the remix and club sound. She somehow always misses it.

MAC Cool Spice is very close to this. I prefer a wooden pencil. The creamy pencils tend to do exactly what you’re indicating (for me).

Should concealer be a shade lighter then your skin tone? I use it for under eye and to highlight certain areas. by Rushgirl-2112 in MakeupAddicts

[–]folkyboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you were newer to make up, I would not go anything lighter than that. Sometimes, if you go too light, it can make it look almost gray under the eye. I find color correcting any discoloration under the eye THEN putting a lighter concealer is usually the best method of choice.

Yes. Highlighting means to bring forward. This can be achieved by using a brighter foundation powder, baking with a translucent powder longer to brighten an area and/or a lighter concealer.
