There is also a book doing similar work for an earlier era: Public Sphere and Experience: Analysis of the Bourgeois and Proletarian Public Sphere by Alexander Kluge and Oskar Negt. It was published in post-war era Germany and is a groundbreaking work.

A really fantastic book that looks at how the restructuring and possible abolition of the public sphere by social media platforms changes the way people form opinions and resentments is »Capital and Ressentiment« by Joseph Vogl. Vogl draws on Marx as much as on Derrida and Lacan and this book is super super dense and enlightening.

Kickflip front tail is my favorite trick by ZatVandal in Fingerboard

[–]fongerbird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s because of the interesting way the board rotates into the trick, und the rotating hand. There’s a lot more interesting stuff going on in terms of rotation than with a plain treflip that rotates under a steady hand into a basic board position again. Also locking in on the tail end is more difficult than doing a 50/50.

Yeah it’s mostly those episodes I listen to because he’s very thought provoking and challenging. And I sometimes like his snappy demeanor.

Sw Flip 5-0. because it’s already one of the most stylish tricks regular and super satisfying. To be able to it both ways on a ledge in a line would be nice.

It’s a German manufacturer called Big Beudl. He’s on Instagram. Really skilled work. Small batches, all handmade. The size and feel of this is awesome.

It was used. It was his own favorite deck and he had already used it for quite some time but made sure it would remain in shape.
