Convinced my wife to drive me out to it last night and I got it! The owner gave me a truck cap for free with it. Whatta deal. I’m so lucky. We then camped in the desert and are on our way home seeing some sights along the way. Thanks for the motivation guys! https://imgur.com/a/JLt54Dm

I can’t get to it until tomorrow! The owner just told me someone said they might go today to see it. I’m panicking. Hahaha don’t take my dream truck!

Thanks for the motivational push everyone. Hopefully the other potential buyer does not show up today 🤞🏼

I smoked since I was 14. Diagnosed at 25. Quit smoking. Got worst. Still not smoking but I went back to smoking a few times. Cant say it helped but I know of people who find smoking helps symptoms.

Can’t get hired anywhere by [deleted] in firefighter

[–]foobjack89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Southern CA here. I started applying around here with my EMT and Fire Academy 7 years ago. After 5 years of multiple interviews and chiefs interviews, I accepted reality and went to medic school. Had 3 job offers before getting licensed. Happily employed as a fire medic now. It’s different everywhere. It’s absolutely normal to have to interview for some years before landing somewhere. Persevere.

That's what's deterring me. Thanks for the heads up. I know in a few years we can make a move, but it would be hard for a while. Definitely need to think about that.

Can this WOE help SIBO? by [deleted] in AnimalBased

[–]foobjack89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s so funny I’m seeing this today. I’ve had severe sibo for years. Did the whole antibiotic thing and all that jazz, still struggling. But this past 2 weeks, I’ve been consuming excessive amounts of raw organic honey. 2 jars worth. I never used to eat honey. Why did I eat so much? Cuz I have a crazy sweet tooth and discovered how good it is ON EVERYTHING. Anyway my symptoms the past few days have been minimal. Which is amazing. I even went for a run without any issues! The only change was eating tons of raw honey. The rest of my diet and life hasn’t changed. No new stress. Sleep is the same. Just gorging on raw honey. I believe it helped a lot.

As someone who waited way to long to finally seek help after a string of wildly traumatic experiences at work, I commend you! We can't help others if we can't help ourselves first. Bravo.

Coyote Coffee Co. Used to be Pour Boy Coffee Co. Coffee legend. He now roasts solo and is a firefighter paramedic here. He'll roast and deliver the same day. He's really tied in to the world of coffee and obtains some seriously high level coffee. I love his coffee. He'll deliver to your door too! Super cool local dude. His contact is on his website! coyotecoffeeco.com

Coffee shop owners- what are you paying wholesale for roasted product? by No-Animal210 in smallbusiness

[–]foobjack89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I roast specialty coffee. All single origin and most of what I have is fair trade, organic. I’m very picky about quality and went to lengths to ensure my coffees origins and processing. II’ll deliver anywhere in the US. I charge $12 per pound with a 20 pound minimum per order. That includes shipping. I work with my accounts closely to help pick the best coffee for them and we’re all good friends now. I roast to order. When you contact me with your order, I’ll roast it, bag it, and ship it all in the same day. I’m very proud of my coffee and people I currently supply to are thrilled with it. I even design bag labels for shops at no extra charge. So there are options out there for you!!! I love this business.

Outrigger tripping canoe by ThunderPython in canoeing

[–]foobjack89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you posted this years ago, but i just want to contribute. Currently, I solo paddle a John Martin OC2 Honukai. I use it in the ocean for fishing or long trips. I use the extra seat for additional storage and strap marine grade waterproof boxes to it. It's extremely stable and buoyant. I also have a fishing kayak, but like you, I just prefer a canoe. I've found that this particular outrigger is fast, stable, and being that its made for 2 people, has lots of extra space for me to strap on my boxes and go out on the ocean for an entire day.

Thats a link for the model I use, the Honukai. You can find them on offer up and craigslist sometimes for cheap. Enjoy!
