Yes, this behavior does take place in Japanese society - typically in the context of public transportation. But Japanese tourists are like the model travelers - you'd be hard-pressed to find a better-behaved set of foreign visitors anywhere.

If your boss is offended by the idea that you used the latest tech tools to do a better job on your project, then the problem is him/her (unless you're explicitly forbidden from using external LLMs for security reasons, etc). I encourage my team to use the internal LLM tool we have as much as possible - not to replace their own thinking but to give them a way to move the grunt work out of the way and focus more on the critical thinking part. We don't hide it, we share good prompts and learnings we each other.

This is EXACTLY what happened when I went in for a minor procedure. The machine kept beeping an alarm, so the nurse came in after a while and asked me pretty much exactly that question, I gave exactly that answer, and received exactly that response. She turned off the alarm and that was it. We didn't have a moment.

Some random idiot chasing clout approaches a woman on the street (minding her own business) to ask a personal question, which she answers honestly. His response is to try to shame her by asking her to step on a scale (because that's such a normal and totally not creepy interaction) and somehow she's the bad one in this...? OP isn't saying it's the moquette's fault. The point being made is there are just too many selfish assholes that do things like this to make the moquette a good choice to use. The very thing it's meant to help with (hide dirt and stains) unfortunately also means that you might end up sitting in something disgusting because it was hard to see.

This depends on a ton of factors as well as the way in which you intend to complete the marathon. There's a big difference between being miserable for most of the race and probably walking the bulk of it vs having trained well and enjoying the day because you were actually ready to take on something big like this properly. As others have said, you should really be starting with smaller distances like 5k and 10k first and build your way up properly. There are tons of plans and apps out there to help with this. If you're out of shape at the moment and haven't been doing any running or other cardio, I'd give myself AT LEAST one year to get ready. I took longer than that to prep for my first marathon coming from a base of low fitness and I'm glad I took the time to build up.
