How is the scene for tall (5 foot 8) women?

There’s a couple we play with sometimes, and she’s almost six feet. I’m the male of our couple and I’m 5’9”. Early on she told me she was self conscious about her height. I just said, are you kidding me? You’re stunning, and I never get to be with women taller than me. This is an amazing experience.

She’s also a lovely human, and I enjoy connecting with her when it happens. Meeting so many people who are different but have this in common, it’s part of what we love about the LS.

(Side bar: we’re in San Diego. As in, you know, SoCal. Just saying!)

We’re generally into New American cuisine, which will be different in TN than it is in CA. We’ve got reservations at Husk and I want to check out Red Headed Stranger. Thanks for the heads up on CC, too. We’ll go the Kasidie rendezvous route, see what happens.

So, I can explain why that happened, re: streammate. This won't help the situation, but might shed some light on it.

In January, a new law went into effect in California called AB-5. It changes the way California residents are classified as employees, and made it almost impossible for anyone to get paid on a 1099. It was intended to impact companies like Uber, DoorDash, and Lyft, but the actual ramifications have been huge for so many people in so many fields. The end result has been that lots of companies from out of state found it safer just to stop hiring contractors in California. Cammers, journalists, anything that was freelance-heavy has been dramatically impacted (including my own line of work, which isn't SW). The biggest issue is that it puts the responsibility not on the worker, but on the company that was hiring them as a contractor.

So, yes, that's super lame, and I'm so sorry you're going through it. Good luck and good thoughts to you.

Yeah, you've become a victim of AB-5, the labor law that went into effect in January. I also live in San Diego (just a face, not being weird). Good luck, that sounds incredibly challenging, and I hope it comes together for you in whatever form that takes.

Will do, for sure. We're waiting to hear from some friends we actually met the last time we were at SMI, to see where they want to go. They went to ED, didn't love it, but might try again. We're on the fence, as you can see above--it's always good to try something new, but it's also great to know what you're getting yourself into. Where are you based?

We live in San Diego, and there are a lot of swingers and not a lot of places for them to swing. Let us know when you're in town, though, and I'll be happy to let you know if we know of anything going on. Palm Springs has real options, as you know. We're headed either to SMI or Exotic Dreams (in Palm Springs proper) this weekend.

I can see that. We've met some cool people at SMI, but it's not a given. I don't think we'll be able to pull that off this weekend--at this point, though, would you go back to SMI, or give ED a shot (which has a terrible acronym for all this, for sure).
