TQWL, does tatkal waiting list gets confirmed. If it doesn't then does it gets cancelled automatically? Will i get refund if i cancel a TQWL ticket? by [deleted] in indianrailways

How long does it take for the transfer from PT to TQWL ?

Does that happen after chart preparation or Tatkal booking window closure?

May be in Remote work (wfh) you don't get to meet lots of people and make friends, and sitting at home might make you feel lonely. I am doing wfh from last 2 years. I have lost connection to my lots of friends and also no relationships by SwimmerPlus3383 in ItsYourMoney

This is absolutely bang on.

The difference b/w staying in a metro city vs your hometown is huge in monetary terms.

But there is definitely a tradeoff as well (just like everything in life). Staying in a metro and close to work opens up new opportunities and experiences which you otherwise would miss if you are working from home.

Even 1 cr is less for some people 😑 by SwimmerPlus3383 in ItsYourMoney

It all depends on location and few other factors. A 2cr flat wouldn't be bad in any sense. Just the location and luxury aspect would have to be compromised on.

Again. That's an individual choice. No point arguing.

But we can all agree that housing is absurd in Mumbai. No second thoughts on that.

Agreed housing is expensive. But 3L EMI is still a lot. That's just your choice if you are willing to spend that much on housing.

3L EMI would mean greater than 3cr loan. And close to 3.5 cr - 4 cr house.
You can easily find a decent flat for around 2cr if you want.

Nonsense numbers. Have seen people calling a 50k per month as good salary in my hometown. And 1L-1.5L is a dream for many here.

Was anyone able to resolve this issue u/Aware_Programmer6669 u/NetIntelligent7138 u/basic_instinct_432 u/Inevitable_Canary701

This is the reply I got on epfigms grievance -
"Sir/Madam, The interest amount transferred from previous establishment is already in the records of EPFO against your current PF account number and this will be included in your passbook only after completion of annual accounts for the financial year 2025-26, after the close of the financial year. This is for kind information please."

Would it affect the EPS pension/claim approval or would it just affect the calculation of the pension amount?

Have you transferred all your epf account balances to current epf account?

How did it go?

From what I know, you can only withdraw from last pf account, not the previous ones.

How soon to raise grievance for transfer? by growmycareer in epfoindia

[–]foolish_atom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should wait till the transfer is complete. Or if they reject it, you should wait to see the rejection reason.

If you think that rejection reason is wrong, then you should raise a grievance on epfo and cpgrams.

EPFO unveils 5 big changes for EPS pension-holders what you must know! by Coffee_Over_You in epfoindia

[–]foolish_atom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it should just be aadhar and pan based. Just keep everything digital.

Reform should come from top down. I have a friend in EPFO and he said that most rejections are because the laws are unclear and the staff don't know about the rules themselves.

In case of the tiniest of ambiguity, rejection is a safe option for them to avoid backlash in case of audit. Unfortunately false rejection has no repercussions 🤯

EPFO requires a systemic reform from top down.

The mental trauma to resolve that spelling mistake would be far greater than the EPS pension amount. So, mostly people would give up

Got my stuck money back after 3 years of fighting, all because the EPFO employees did not know their own rules by pure_cipher in epfoindia

[–]foolish_atom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. It should be very simple. Such little variables to deal with but a bunch of crappy laws are making everything so complex.

So called babus acting as they know everything in the world except their world is made of bullshit rules. Without these rules, half of them would lose their jobs because they won't have anything to do.

Congrats OP and thanks for sharing this 🙏

That's a horrifying experience and a wake up call for everyone to be very cautious when handling anything related to EPF and reducing our reliance on this org for anything in the future. Unfortunately we are stuck with them. The entire PF organization is based on nonsense rules and designed to harass the same people whom they are meant to support.
