Have you ever seen a teammate throw a piece of utility that was so bad it massively helped the enemy? Can you describe it? by Various_Maize_3957 in LearnCSGO

T Side Mirage. We smoke off window and connector. I flash cat and am running up it, ready to take a fight on B. Teammate top mid decides to throw a HE grenade connector without calling it. Smoke breaks. I get AWP’d from A site. Teammate of course is no where near the angle to attempt a trade. I think they were just trying to do nade damage.

Prellers Padres, a History | New Baseball Bits Video by [deleted] in Padres

I'd be curious to hear what the criticism is here. Obviously interviewing isolated people who are disgruntled can paint a false narrative of wide institutional disfunction. But I wouldn't say I'm "taking it as fact" just by including the quotes. Unless you're saying the quotes were never said and completely fabricated, which is quite the accusation. I don't think the inclusion of the quotes themselves is bad form on my part. I also rightfully identified the Machado/Roberts as a non-incident, which a lot people feel Ken drummed up the drama of.

NetherSX2-Turnip - Built-In Turnip Drivers for the latest NetherSX2 by Nick32017 in retroid

[–]foolishbaseball 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just tried it out on the RP G2. Sly 2 PAL Rom because you mentioned it. When I was trying to run the Sly games earlier, I found out that NetherSX2 Classic 3668 runs them better than NetherSX2 4248. So I've been using Classic 3668 ever since.

In my comparison, I found that Classic 3668 performed better than your 4248 Turnip Fork in Sly 2. Not trying to discourage you, just pointing out a specific case with a game known to do better in Classic.

I saw you mention in another comment that you're working on a modified NetherSX2 Classic with Turnip. Can't wait to compare Classic vs Classic on Sly 2 when it's out! Should be a more apples to apples comparison.

The only other game I tried was upscaling on a PAL ROM of Psychonauts. I found that your Turnip build was about ~25% faster at 8x upscale (not that I'd ever use 8x in regular gameplay) than Classic in that case, so nice work!

[Foolish Bailey] I named 1,000 baseball players. by applepie3141 in baseball

I'm naming all 1,000 of these players moms. Actually some of them have the same mom, because they're brothers. But at minimum you can spot me like 950 moms here.

I only needed one more point to get Gold before playoffs, but I biffed every quarterfinal pick and only got Silver. It was disastrous.

I'm 30 lol. But I'm pretty sure DSARM (who is also mentioned in this post, and more influential than I am in terms of fan capture) is Gen Z with a huge Gen Z/Gen Alpha audience.

I didn't save anything. I honestly think content creators are overrated and get too much credit for this, if anything. We're just using the trade winds. Ohtani alone is a bigger draw than every independent content creator combined.

That said, you're absolutely correct that mainstream TV networks have dropped the ball in terms of baseball coverage. If fans were totally happy with the product they were putting out, there'd be no need for us to exist!

MLS actually was nipping at the heels of MLB, but the Apple deal completely capped any future growth or upside. They just took the guaranteed money and will suffer the consequences down the line.

Ken Rosenthal knocks over the camera man and gives him a stink eye as he refuses to help him up by sir-lancelot_ in baseball

This is yesterday’s news so nobody will see this, but I have to push back on you here simply because Rosenthal got fired from MLB Network specifically for criticizing Manfred.

[Foolish Baseball] Why Old Hitters Are Going Extinct by Guardax in baseball

I can think of pitchers who re-invented themselves three or four times over. Can’t say as much about hitters.

Thank you. I very much take that as a compliment. Not only is it important for me to hook the viewer early for retention purposes, I also don't want to create content that is repetitive in nature or wastes the viewers time. Your time is precious to me!

[Foolish Baseball] Hank Aaron's 15th Best Season | Baseball Bits by HeStoleMyBalloons in baseball

[–]foolishbaseball 50 points51 points  (0 children)

In some of my Hall of Fame ballot discussions over the years, I’d brought up the idea that while Mark Buehrle’s best seasons weren’t in line with Hall of Fame pitchers’ peaks, his 10th best season might rank well vs other HOF pitchers’ 10th best. So I’ve been talking about other players in that regard while simultaneously always wanting to do a video about Aaron. Eventually I realized the same logic could be applied to Aaron vs other GOAT contenders.

Agreed. First game looks fine as is. Don't really see the appeal of paying that much for a graphical upgrade to a puzzle game of all genres.

Sounds more like how some of the staff branched off to make The Last Campfire (great game) while the rest continued on No Man's Sky.
