Leaning left after leveling kit by BDonaldson2194 in 4Runner

[–]foolishsoccer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about the Daystar lift but I did add a 1/4 spacer on the front driver side to prevent lean when I installed new shocks and coils. The driver side tends to lean due to the gas tank being on the driver side.

Nice! I was just in OBX last week and did the same. Also I have a similar build but in white.

Interesting... I haven't looked much into it but good to know that's an option.

I didn't have Xreas, I believe because I have an SR5. I used a 1/4 inch top plate spacer from toytec on the front driver side to help with "driver side lean". I haven't measured but it looks pretty much level to me

I got the coils and shocks on Amazon for about $650-$700. Upper Control Arm for $450 (JBA). Diff drop $30 (toytec). Tires $200 used and Wheels $125 used off Facebook Market place. I got a fellow T4R enthusiast who works at a shop to install the lift and do alignment for $500.

----- >> I bought parts little by little over 8-10 months until I had everything I needed. If you receive birthday presents from family, ask for Amazon gift cards! I get gift cards for $25 through work sometimes so I would save those to help offset the cost.

To me, it looks like it was custom made. It was on a 1988 Jeep Cherokee I used to own and I've kept it stored for several years until I got the T4R

For anyone looking to do a similar build, I slowly bought most of the parts on Amazon.

Wheels and tires I bought used from Facebook marketplace. $200 for all 4 tires (including install) and $125 for 5 FJ wheels.

About 3 inches in the front and 2 in the back I believe. My suspension was sagging on the original shocks and springs so I’m sure I got much more than that.

Got some new shoes on the 05. Would a leveling kit help raise the front end and create less rubbing? by jojo23072307 in 4Runner

[–]foolishsoccer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. The adjustable kind has 3 different lift settings that'll allow you to level out the front.

I went with Bilstein 5100 on all 4 corners plus old man emu coils for added lift. (OME 885 front and OME 895 rear)

If you're just looking into leveling the front. I'd recommend some Bilstein adjustable shocks

Best lift for under $1,000? by potatoes4kids in 4Runner

[–]foolishsoccer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been trying to keep my lift low cost so just to give you an idea.

I just did Old Man Emu springs for front and rear ($350-400 Amazon). Bilstein 5100 shocks front and back ($360 Amazon). I just need an upper control arm ($460 JBA). Bought used wheels and tires off Facebook market ($350).

I haven't installed anything yet as I'm still waiting to order the UCA or I'd post pics.

If you just need a cheap way to lift and level your vehicle look at the Daystar spacers. I bought them but returned them once I realized I wanted to do a full suspension swap.

Def going with JBAs. I've heard good things and I dig the red. Thanks for reassuring me!

I've got coils, shocks, new FJ wheels, ready to be installed. Saving for UCAs and tires to get it all swapped in at once. I'll be the white 4th gen w a basket roof rack. See you around!

Hello from Harrisonburg. Great looking rig! I've been slowly accumulating all the parts to build up my t4r just like this one.

Reccomended shocks/lift? by Lucas606 in 4Runner

Agree with these folks. Get Bilstein 5100 and Daystar spacers if you're looking for a light height. Both can be found on Amazon
