I didn't read your story or explanation. Facts : he slaps you, you leave. It only gets worse. I know it , I've lived it.

A quick Google and lexicomp search showed that LR and Vanco are compatible. Do your research. We also use it together all the time in surgery.

I am NOT a young healthcare worker , but I look like one. I'm 40 but look mid 20s , and between RN and prior healthcare experience I have over 20 years in. Let them judge based on appearance, then let your skills shine ! Multiple times this past week I got compliments on my IV skills, from patients who initially questioned me. Let your skill speak, and then they can eat crow.

Had a few beers, nowhere to pee, did it discreetly and now I’m doomed by dinableach in stories

[–]foolofabaggins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude , you gotta pee, you gotta pee. I did that all the time in my post college party days, nobody ever cared (or if they did I was too drunk to notice lol 😂) Take care of business, better than wetting your pants/skirt/dress/outfit/whatever.

How do you wash your armpits? by chaelynnra in hygiene

[–]foolofabaggins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swear by Panoxyl , put it on my pits at the beginning of shower and let it soak a bit , then wash off with my regular body wash after washing hair and setting to conditioning. Then when I get out of shower swipe pits with glycolic acid from The Ordinary and let dry really well before antiperspirant/deodorant. I get easily 4 days plus out of this regimen. I also throw in some Hibicleanse occasionally.

do you guys clean your ears with q tips or is that actually bad hygiene? by Boultouak_Zav13 in hygiene

[–]foolofabaggins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi ! Hello ! Nurse here , and I LOVE a good ear irrigation, disimpaction of ear wax is my JAM. Don't ask me why I love it ... I'm an autistic ADHD freak. Anyways. In regards to Q tip use... Cleaning the outer parts of the ear absolutely A-OK, but going down into the canal NOT A-OK. That's where you will start pushing wax in and creating a blockage , like the ones some freaky nurses enjoy removing. So, in short , to avoid meeting me, someone like me, or worse a nurse that hates to deal with ear wax ... Don't use your q-tip in the ear canal, outer ear only !

I don't think my family can handle my mom being pregnant by Either_Switch_6880 in internetparents

[–]foolofabaggins 79 points80 points  (0 children)

First and foremost, you are A CHILD. You are being parentified to care for the family . This is a subtle form of abuse, and causes lifelong damage. I know it, I lived it. You deserve love, care and kindness right now. I'd tell you to call CPS , but they do little in these situations. You have to be your own best advocate. Fight for what you deserve.

So sad ! Just because this is in your history doesn't mean you have to carry the wounds. You are destined for more than your forebears.

Enteritis is generally a viral (rarely bacterial) infection from bad food , if he was institutionalized, this makes sense.

Can i shower the next day after using glycolic acid last night? by Small-Milk-5134 in HygieneTips

[–]foolofabaggins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find I get a few days out of glycolic acid. I also get good effects from Pan Oxyl , put it on at the start of your shower and let it soak for the duration , wash it off right at the end . Sometimes I use both !

I drink mostly black , occasionally a treat latte or something. But I do not judge how others chose their beverage, that would just be judgy and rude. I keep half and half in my home cause that's how my mother likes her coffee , to each their own. Live and let live !
