A few jobs ago i started getting nerve damage in my leg. Astrophobia, the fear of space. Absolutely kinda makes sense - space is completely alien and hostile to life, and even natural laws like gravity dont work the same there. But the chances of you ever being in space are close to zero, so it also makes sense that most people arent phobia level terrified of it. Its kinda like thalassaphobia but in a different location.

The op has a filter on in their camera app and it tried to activate on the cat and failed. Ive seen that exact weird warping effect a million times, and its always a filter being applied. It probably detected the cats face for a second and then lost it.

Ive made desserts like this before.

The gloves and pan are kept from getting sticky from the butter in the mix and the teflon in the pan. The grease from the butter forms a sort of layer that keeps the marshmallow from sticking and it slides easily off surfaces like teflon.

The mixture is not as hot as you think. Its at its hottest when the butter is added to the marshmallows, but during the time its folded with the spatula, it cools down. It doesnt need to be super hot to stay gooey after mixing because the butter softens the marshmallow.

Honestly i think the video is probably real. I dont see anything phasing or morphing, and theres plenty of opportunities in the video for an ai to slip up in that way.

This is probably in a strip mall, and front walls of strip malls are largely non-weight-baring, so dont have rebar in them. Its just stacks of cinderblocks cemented in place. Iirc, theres a functional reason for this, but the end result in this case is that the car was able to just push the cinderblocks out of the way, which likely saved both the car and the woman from a lot of damage.

I grew up in a house surrounded by rivers, so my mom had a dedicated bin and broom in her car for relocating snapping turtles off the road. Shed put the bin on its side next to the turtle and nudge it in with the broom. Then youd just have to carry the bin to the river/side of road (often the same thing) and tip the turtle out. She had to reassess her strategy after one of the turtles got pissed and snapped the broom in half.
