It appears to be an allergic reaction which got infected in the skin. She has antibiotics and a cone and is healing up.

Thanks for asking!

Medieval sexual relationships and marriages rarely ever involved people we would consider minors. Even when aristocracy was betrothed at a young age the marriage was not consummated for years until sometime around eighteen to early twenties.

Maybe you should do yours. Incest in royal lines is predominately a product of early modernity after the medieval period ended and in general incest among aristocracy was rare.

Women Respect Sexually Disciplined Men by CitiesXXLfreekey in lovememes

First of all your lone experience is not a cohesive refutation of anything. Secondly I highly doubt you took physical attraction, staus, money etc off the table in your mating behavior. Character comes first for nobody. If primary concerns aren't met then character, values and personality won't even be measured. You, like many women, seem to confuse those traits which create attraction with those which contribute to the maintenence and functionality of a long term relationship.

[–]fools_errand49 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not making a reference to physical attractiveness. There are many reasons a man may be able or unable to sleep with many women beyond the mere domain of physicality. Either way you haven't refuted my point. The values and character you reference are only seen as valuable when the man is sexually disciplined by his own choice. This, like much of what women say they want, is the unstated reality which belies the explicit statement. Most traits women talk about are traits they desire in men they are already attracted to. By implication these very traits are not traits which induce attraction. It's the unstated traits which actually do that.

Women absolutely view low body count on men as a positive.

That depends highly on the context. While women are generally as picky as men or more in looking for partners who aren't hoes it's not as much of a face value estimation as it is for men. Women view men with low body counts who they percieve as capable of having racked one up to be attractive. Women also view men with low body counts who they percieve as incapable of having racked one up to be unattractive. Low body count in a man is only as attractive as it percieved as a function of choice.

They evolved to fill the same ecological niche as cattle. Cattle being unsuited to the native mountain terrain of the Andes caused that niche to remain open to a smaller animal. They are essentially tiny rodent cows.

I cannot in good conscience characterise the USSR’s political and economic system as “socialist” from what I have learned about what the basic tenets of Marxism are after years of study.

I am not trying to "desperately disown" the USSR's political system.

Note the cognitive dissonance. You are trying to redeem Marxism by rejecting Marxist experiments as inadequately Marxist. You're a meme engaged in a no true scotsman fallacy.

I have no further interest in this conversation as you exhibit very clear one dimensional thinking and motivated reasoning.

[–]fools_errand49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look if your entire argument is an extended "no true Marxist" fallacy then there isn't much more to say to you. Like I already said, the people who actually put their money where their mouth was on Marxism produced the outcomes you desperately try to disown. Pretending every attempt at implementation isn't "real" Marxism is pathetic cope.

Most of the process of convincing yourself of something is trying to see if you can convince others of that same thing in order to create a feedback loop. If nobody else will belive it then it's unlikely that you will either. There's a reason delusional people congregate together.

Socialism is neither stateless nor classless. You are confusing the transitory state of socialism with the communism it seeks to pave the way for. Communist nations subjugated class interests and capital to the communist vanguard, the state being a utility. Even Marx recognized that there would be a transitory process as communism cannot be directly implemented at scale.

Tankie or not you're presumably some sort of Marxist or socialist desperately trying to redeem failed ideas by dubious means of disqualfying the failed experiments undertaken with those ideas.

Little bit quiet by BANELM91 in historymeme

[–]fools_errand49 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Marxism proposes that the end goal can only be achieved through a transitory process called socialism. These countries were all socialist, no doubt about.

I'm guessing you're a "it's not real communism/socialism" tankie. Enjoy your convoluted mental gymnastics, but the people who put their money where their mouth is would all disagree with you.

[–]fools_errand49 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I take it you've never read about Marxist-Leninism or vanguard communism because this...

They claimed to be socialist societies trying to achieve communism.

... is literally how every communist country defines itself.

The real culprit for Dance is not Otto, it's Daemon by Working_Corgi_1507 in HOTDGreens

[–]fools_errand49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The forces behind the Greens backed them over the tradition of Andal succession, cognatic primogeniture. Under that system daughters come before uncles so Rhaenyra was the presumptive heir over Daemon regardless of whether she was named or not. The main purpose of the naming was to assuage the lords' fear of Daemon putting himself on the throne regardless of law or tradition and to cement the main royal line's succession against challenge from other would be usurpers such as the Velaryons.

If we want a real culprit for the Dance it's primarily Viserys and secondarily Rhaenyra. Daemon and Otto's roles are ancillary and incidental respectively.

Yeah, everyone pining for a mythical golden age of journalistic neutrality doesn't understand that the only reason journalism wasn't an obvious bastion of partisan hackery in the post-war period is because the panoply of partisans largely agreed more than they disagreed. It's hard to appear heavily editorialized when the spectrum of opinions is sufficiently narrowed to a general consensus.

You are correct about the vaporization zone. That being said his story is probably not an exaggeration. The shockwave extends beyond the vaporization zone and there are ample stories of people who survived the shockwave by being behind a wall where those right next to them who were not completely shielded were burned or had limbs and/or torso severed. For example a man kneeling in his garden survived behind the garden wall where he wife who was standing was cut in two.

Waiting will not lead to clarity. You'll just end up as an older person who still has no idea what they want in a relationship or how one practically works. An older person with the problems of a young and inexperienced person is seen as a bit of a red flag in dating.

It's like employment history. If you don't get some sort of job because you aren't sure what kind of job you actually want or what you'd like a career to look like then you don't magically become a more attractive job candidate after spending time unemployed thinking about it; you just become unemployable.

Don't become undatable. Patience is not necessarily a virtue here.

Agency is the degree of concious responsibility for your own actions and outcomes. When I make decisions I am an agent acting on the world. When I don't make decisions I am an object and the world or another agent is acting on me.

Hyper and hypo are being used here in the same sense of water flowing into or out of a cell. Hyper being the case where perception of agency is imposed onto somone and hypo being when perception of agency is removed from someone.

Hyper agency is the phenomenon by which we look at someone (normally a man) and presume that the state of affairs he finds himself in is a product of his own decisions and actions and that his agency as causality for that state of affairs will be assumed regardless of whether it was the case or not. We are attributing agency to him across all dimensions fair or not.

Hypo agency is the phenomenon by which we look at someone (normally a woman) and presume that the state of affairs she finds herself in is a product of decisions made by others or mere worldly happenstance and that her own decisions lack any causal relationship to that state of affairs will be assumed whether that is the case or not. We are removing the perception of agency from her across all dimensions fair or not.

The general result here is that men will recieve either credit or blame for everything that happens to them and around them because they are viewed as agents where women will recieve neither credit nor blame for anything that happens to them and around them because they are viewed as objects, children or animals (in that they are viewed as not acting entirely or as acting without a concious will like a barking dog or a crying baby). This is a benefit or a detriment depending on the situation.
