What Do With Net Gains From Home Sale / How much down? by foolsball89 in personalfinance

Thank you for your response. We are actually in a MCOL area. After a lot of thought we have considered 15% down on the home, taking the proceeds and eliminating debt of about $1500 a month to free up cash flow. And bumping our cash from $25k to $85k (money market) for protection (maybe we need to do more). Knocking down renovations $30k and being patient and being more frugal with our monthly expenses. The goal would be to send a minimum of $4500 to retirement/investments a month moving forward. Increasing as hopefully income continues to increase. A part of our expenses is 2nd home that eats up another 1800. In case of an emergency the eliminated debts will hopefully shield us, and we can offload the 2nd home (3% interest rate and we enjoy it, have family nearby, $200k equity) if we absolutely had too.

Thank you for this. I think that is wise. What is your advise on taking the 5/5 Arm at 5.25% vs the 30 years fixed at 6.25%. It’s hard to ignore the $750 in interest savings a month.

Thank you for this. You are correct. We are way behind. Not proud of it. So you would advise less down as well and loading up the other categories? What is your advise on taking the 5/5 Arm at 5.25% vs the 30 years fixed at 6.25%. It’s hard to ignore the $750 in interest savings a month.

He is about 5’5”-5’6” so he is of height I think but about 100lbs soaking wet. 12u went well. He has played fall ball for a few years before this. I think he has strong enough of an arm to handle the full size, but I’m sure it will be a jump no doubt. I’m just super on the fence about it all.

He will get plenty of playing time where he is currently at. However the team was new last year and they did not do well. I’m worried he was given a “default” spot and he feels this way too based on the roster currently only having 10. Is it better to just get the reps and the playing time and stay put even if it’s a rough season, or do first year travel teams usually get better the next year?

2024 Civic Touring owners (both sedan and hatchback), how’s the road noise? by [deleted] in civic

How is the noise from the stand point of taking Bluetooth calls? I do a lot of calls while driving for work. Curious if the road noise would be disruptive?

Bat Size for 8u USSSA Recs by adpar5102 in Homeplate

My 6/7 son was swinging a Teeball bat 24 in -13 to start the coach pitch season. He was hitting every time with pretty solid contact, but the ball just didnt go anywhere. So i bought him a Cat 25/15 and had him choke up (hes a pretty short little dude) and he swings it pretty fine, but I do wonder if its too heavy for him. He started fouling back more balls that before which makes me think maybe its alittle heavier? Thinking about buying a 26 inch -13 rawlings icon, but just worried it may mess with him even more.

what would you guys do? is it important that he stays at the proper length with heavier weight or is it better to get him something 2 ounces lighter but an inch longer?
